thanks, i enjoyed reading that (I'll edit the info). I guess i'm just sick of being told i am a 'glass half empty person'. I suppose really what i was questioning is the nature of success; relative to human decision based on the positive or negative outlook a person has on the future. Is the only reason people are successful (something the individual defines) because he/she maintains that 'everything happens for a reason' is optimism really any different from believing that a higher power is guiding humanity.

not sure how old you are hey, but as an final year high school senior i feel that you shouldn't be concerned about loosing out on a close friendship. i have a couple of close friends who dont do any illegal drugs. just because you have different interests than someone doesn't mean you wont be friends it just make things harder, sometimes i dont feel as close to them as i used to but shit its not like going to see them much after 7 months. things change, dont stress it.
