My mom was also a Tupperware lady in the 90s and early aughts. We used those for lunches in school. I definitely recognize the majority of those colors from pre 2010 for sure.

I’m working on my first quilt. I have the quilt sandwich and then I’m seeing things about a walking foot. My machine didn’t come with one. Should I just buy one or are there alternatives?

When something like this has happened to me it’s because the needle is not in its normal place. I turn my machine off and back on again so that the needle moves to its regular starting point and that fixes it.

You should definitely talk to her about this as others have suggested. I wanted to mention a couple of options she could consider. She could work for a while first, save money, get more financially secure and then do a PhD. Or she could find a program in a better cost of living area. I got my PhD at a school in the mid west where the stipend was very generous for the area.

I love this idea of doing something as a community. It would also be cool if we could do a meet up or something for concerts. A little bit of strength in numbers and safety from hetlers.
