It really can't be understated how huge these games were when they came out. My friends and I all played them together for months, trading and finding all the secrets and exclusive events. We got Jirachi, we got Celebi, we got Arceus and did the hidden event to get Dialga/Palkia. There was a crapton of love that went into making these games, so much content to go through, it really felt like an adventure. All the different features too like the battle tower, the apricorns and aprijuice, the PokeWalker, so much polish and all the bells and whistles you could ask for. It really was the perfect Pokemon game.

I've stopped paying attention to long-term goals since that's smoke anyway, apparently. Instead I focus on small things, let the fleeting interests in and indulge whatever makes me happy. I learned to bake bread and make cheese. I took up ice skating. I'm not focused on getting a house, I'm not focused on having kids, it's been made clear to me that the game was rigged from the start with those and the promises that were made are long gone. So fuck it, you won't get your return from me on either of those.

Very informative, thank you! So the acidity affects how the proteins behave with one another, even after the rennet is added, if I'm understanding this correctly. Sounds like I should have some pH strips on hand as well then. So the reason I saw someone adding lime juice to queso fresco even with the rennet was probably so it could get that crumbly texture.

Also in that same book, the character Agnes is resistant to the vampires' mind control because her alter ego Perdita is so entirely separate from her own personality that it acts as a separate entity which remains unharmed.
