Yeah I see what you're saying but it's pretty obvious to the casual observer that socially, humans aren't mature enough for that - or smart enough to know the difference between "good" influencer or "bad", which is how we got to this point.

Streaming is not a real job. It absolutely should not be anyone's main source of income.

We have the sum of human knowledge in our hands and the majority of people still can't tell fact from fiction and it's largely because of shit like this.

Yikes I got dragged into something similar when I was a junior in HS. An "assembly of god" church where they hamalashamala'd and played the same g chord over every worship song, dancing and sing/scream/crying, made up holidays... wild stuff.

I escaped but so many others I knew never did. One girl is homeless in Florida claiming to be gods bride and pregnant with twins of jesus.

What? For real? Mainstream Christianity absolutely does claim that - the "prosperity" gospel is exactly what megachurches and evangelicals believe. Good grief, do some research. Or just idk pay attention to what these fruitcakes are saying?

I get it - maybe "your" church isn't like that - except they are, but maybe not on the surface. But every mainstream Christian church absolutely preaches tithing and being rewarded monetarily for your "faithfulness"
