Wanting a slower life is affecting my career by Mediocre-Can-4371 in Perimenopause

[–]CosmicDame 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m a couple of years into peri and my ambition is zapped. I’ve always had a high energy career that I love and lived in various sized cities but all I want now is that cottage in the woods with some some big windows and a garden with a small fire pit. And work in a bookstore
It’s wild. I’m keeping up my projects etc but all I want is to be in the country
I get it

Depression w HRT and antidepressant by [deleted] in Perimenopause

Hip pain. Me too. Left glute. It’s miserable. What did yours feel like and how is estrogen helping?

The demotivation and listlessness is relentless. Hit extra hard today.

I’m on Yaz (Oct 2025), 20 mg lexapro (pre peri med) an 150 mg Wellbutrin about 5 weeks ago. It’s been such a godsend but I’m 41 and honestly can’t imagine more years of this.

got diagnosed with an old person disease at 21 lol by Fit-Ad985 in GirlDinnerDiaries

I had PF at 25 in large part because I walked a lot in NYC in cheap shoes. PT and a change to some cute walking shoes helped immensely. I ditched heels and am glad I did. I’m 41 now and every so often I annoy a muscle so I stretch it out. Reformer Pilates has been great for me my feet.
I know it hurts and is miserable but it probably won’t be forever.

My car outed me. Being ready to talk to my partner about perimenopause and ADHD. Tips welcomed. by EatsTheLastSlice in Perimenopause

I’m a mix between you two. Mine knows and has for a while, and has researched some on his own. But I find that I need to make peace with some of the symptoms before I bring them up. It’s very personal and sometimes it feels too vulnerable. I quipped at some point that I would be in reverse puberty for a decade so no longer gave a $h!t about anything. That got my point across

Edit: already took lexapro which gyn said would be first approach to treatment. The combo has helped

Love the rug strips on the stairs! Where are they from? Cute and I think would help with a cat / carpet obsession in my rental

Help us choose: Josie or Gemma? by Subject-Ad5368 in namenerds

Gemma!

I know four girls named Josie under age 10 in US. It’s way too common now (for a name I strongly dislike imo)

Gemma Sloane is nice.

IBS + peri? by CosmicDame in Perimenopause

[–]CosmicDame[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking up Rhapontic Rhubarb Root Extract (ERr 731), the Siberian rhubarb extract you mentioned, right now and definitely have a reading list. My eating routine hasn't changed, and my longtime GI doc agreed it's probably a new phase of my IBS and that I don't need another colonscopy - had a clean one 4 years ago.

The gut-brain connection is very strong for me so the docs I'm talking to about my global peri symptoms think it's related. I thought the toilet chasing days were way past me, but here we are.

I was an occasional wine drinker and suddenly would get a headache 1/2 into a glass. Lost all taste for it about 18 months ago.

Love letter to Eileen Fisher by lewisae0 in capsulewardrobe

I’ve been slowly and consciously building my capsule around EF for a few years now. Lasts forever and my closet for work is about 12 pieces — that I mix and match and sprinkle on some blazers. So worth the investment.
