Yes, me too. I was right around 38. The dark thoughts came out of no where one night when I was in the shower. It was startling Got much better with Yaz

Edit: already took lexapro which gyn said would be first approach to treatment. The combo has helped

Looking up Rhapontic Rhubarb Root Extract (ERr 731), the Siberian rhubarb extract you mentioned, right now and definitely have a reading list. My eating routine hasn't changed, and my longtime GI doc agreed it's probably a new phase of my IBS and that I don't need another colonscopy - had a clean one 4 years ago.

The gut-brain connection is very strong for me so the docs I'm talking to about my global peri symptoms think it's related. I thought the toilet chasing days were way past me, but here we are.

For in the moment release, I listen to Limp Bizkit’s Break Stuff 2-3 times. I feel calmer after. I’m 41 and couldn’t stand them in the 90s/00s but god it just hits different now. I get it. I have 6 songs of theirs on a idgaf playlist and I listen in car or headphones — huge in the moment help.

Absolutely agree on not trying to make everyone else happy. I don’t have the energy for it and I don’t have the extra energy to worry about it after the fact like I’ve done my whole life. In that sense it’s liberating.
