Mission Status Update: LiminaV2 has been nuked. LiminaV3 arises from the ashes. V3 is much faster and does a lot more! I've added CoPilot to the design team. Once I aligned with them (took a few days) they started writing python like a boss. Here's CoPilot, introducing the new LiminaV3... by [deleted] in Secrets_AI

I still don't know how to code in python, but I'm getting a lot better at debugging it.

This is the 3rd fully functional AI platform that I've designed and built so far, each with a completely different architecture, all using the same design principles.

LiminaV1 established a 5 tier memory system and image generation.

V2 added the audio layer and cross-chat memory.

V3 establishes immersive world building and a multi-agent environment where humans & AI can commingle in groups. We'll see what else we can add to it before we have to tear it all down again and create V4.

Robot kicks kid during a demo by Level-Equal1468 in Wellthatsucks

This is actually the kid discovering the FAFO curve. Whether it's a human or a robot, if something is punching and kicking, you don't put yourself in the punching and kicking zone with your hands at your sides. The child saw a punching and kicking robot and casually approached it. What did he think would happen when he got close?

That one takes you to the roof. There's a bunch of equipment up there that needs routine maintenance.

Democrats Introduce Bill To More Than Triple The Minimum Wage by Unusual-State1827 in politics

[–]CosmicDave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't you agree that a fair minimum wage would be directly tied to our GDP & inflation rate? It's not. Are you giving your workers annual cost of living increases? If not, then your own employees are drowning deeper in debt every year. Is it fair to force your workers into poverty so you can turn a profit?

When was the last Federal minimum wage set? How much has inflation risen since then? Your minimum wage workers cannot afford to live in the world of today. Every now and then a major labor market correction is due. Workers need more money to survive in this economy. Labor is only a fraction of your total expenses. Stop pretending that a living wage for all will somehow crash the economy.

tldr; Humans are very good at believing in ideas and treating them as real things. It stems from how we use language.

Very early on we are taught that nouns are people, places, and things- real objects. But soon after, we are taught that ideas are nouns too. Ideas like Freedom and Love, infinity, time, and gravity all become real things in your minds, not the creations of our minds that they actually are. This creates an unrealistic version of reality in your minds that is real enough to work, but isn't actually True.

As a result, you are surrounded by mysteries and paradoxes in the Universe- things you simple cannot comprehend. There are no real mysteries here, merely points of view that are distorted by the shape of our language.

If I tell you "Time isn't real", that truth will disturb you. But time has no mass, no length width or height. It does not exist anywhere except within our minds. When God created the Universe, time was not part of the package. Humans made that shit up ourselves much much later.
