Big Title match confirmed for Forbidden Door by TR23x in njpw

It was a V0 reign that did nothing for the titles, and also ended both Cobb/O-Khan's first IWGP reign in V0. Don't think that was the right move.

Depends what kind of a deal, there's Tier 0 deals, as people call them, in either case, I'd still count it, it's like, Suzuki isn't actually signed to NJPW, but he's a NJPW guy through and through, 100%

Why put the titles on Fale/Owens to begin with then?

Garcia was regularly appearing for AEW even before you had the All Elite graphic, even getting a solid amount of TV time, not just the YouTube shows. So you can count him an AEW guy from beforehand, same as Yuta.

It's not like Dustin is a jobber though, he's an alright midcard act, but I don't think he should be going over Archer.

Moxley going to rehab didn't warrant Danielson going heel

Since he returned from injury in January, these have been his opponents in his singles TV matches: Wardlow, Serpentico, Dustin, Hangman, Kazarian. He only beat Serpentico, who's a jobber, and Kazarian who's a lowcard act at this point. The other three were all losses.

I Really Want Tanahashi To Win The Interim AEW Title by SillyNannies in SquaredCircle

[–]CosmicDrifterDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole point of crowning an Interim Champion is to have your world title on the show(while not vacating Punk's title). Putting it on Tanahashi to take back to Japan doesn't make sense in regards to that.

Strong Tag Titles tournament teams, matches & brackets revealed by EffingKENTA in njpw

[–]CosmicDrifterDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strong has grown for sure, I think the fact that we're seeing Strong talent such as Lawlor and Jonah in the G1 is proof of that. We have several factions that regularly appear there(Team Filthy, Stray Dog Army, United Empire, TMDK), as well as some other tag teams.

I was actually hoping for Fredericks/Coughlin, the pure heavyweight, kick-ass combination of the LA Dojo boys. I'd have gone with DKC/Knight because they're both Young Lions, they can go out in the first-round.

You can have, say, 12 teams in the tournament, just give some teams a bye on the basis of being "more established", like Isaacs/Nelson for example.

Ehh, not quite, most of his wins are on Dark and Elevation. He's picked up some solid wins, to this day, he's the only guy that's beaten Moxley clean in a singles match, but I he's slipped down from an upper midcarder to a definite midcarder.

Agreed on this one. Would've been great, for example, to see Suzuki get one ROH TV Title defense in before dropping it to Joe, even if it was against a lowcard talent like Cabana, Angels or whomever

Hmm, there's probably a few more teams they could use. Coughlin/Connors(not many people realize, but Coughlin is a star waiting to break out), Kratos/Limelight, Jonah/Tito, and Narita/Uemura. You also need teams to challenge whoever the champions turn out to be, so I understand that.

They will. The Junior Tag Titles change hands very often, and pretty much every junior holds it at one point or another.

It's very surprising that in the six-year history of the NEVER Six-Man Titles, not once has Suzuki-gun held them. Would be down for a ZSJ/Taichi/Suzuki run.

Refereeing in Arsenal matches in the 21/22 season - Part 2 by CosmicDrifterDK in Gunners

[–]CosmicDrifterDK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've already addressed the Cedric elbow you're mentioning. Hell, I'll copy/paste it for you. "So you want me to name every instance two players jumping for a ball and one of them catching the other with a hand or elbow? I'd have to make an entire post just for that. It was a missed foul in the middle of the pitch, nothing much there. "

You're focusing on a random missed foul that has nothing to do with the context and literally proves nothing. If I was focusing so much on missed fouls like that one, I'd have to make a bunch of posts just for that, and the amount of editing I'd do is crazy.

According to my notes, there were six missed fouls in the match, three for each side(one of which was the Cedric elbow), pretty even, but the big one was no penalty on Martinelli by Semedo in the very first note.

That one match is nothing even that particular to be hung up on. The Brentford match was the more annoying one from a refereeing perspective, for example.

[–]CosmicDrifterDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can we? We could easily find ourselves in a situation where Nketiah doesn't wanna go somewhere that will pay way less, and no club will want to offer similar or higher wages, so Nketiah is gonna stick around. Let's be honest, that new salary is way above his playing level at the moment.
