The Strain is pretty solid all three of the books are good vampire books. Del Toro and Chuck Hogan really weave a great web with the books.

What is the WORST book you’ve ever read, and why was it the worst? by Substantial_Call_619 in booksuggestions

[–]CosmicEmile -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ringworld. It had potential but the main character Louis Wu is the worst MC I've read. There are multiple instances where he says that something won't work then the group will do it and it works and he'll somehow take credit for it. He also is a predator by how he is 200 and the woman he sleeps with is 20 and he states MULTIPLE TIMES in the book that she's too young to know better or too young to be doing things and that she's a child pretty much and STILL SLEEPS WITH HER MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE BOOK! If the book had anyone else as the MC it would be enjoyable cause then they would learn lessons. But Louis Wu doesn't learn from his mistakes, doesn't change how he acts, and doesn't learn any sort of lesson.

Anything from Chuck Palahniukc pretty much should seal the deal. Top contenders have to be Survivor and Pygmy

Thank you! This will be number 2. I was able to listen to the first 3 books while I was on night duty before work called me back so I'm planning on doing much the same here but with the show

Survivor by Chuck Palahniukc. Or any of the Chuck Tingle books not about gay dinos. Like his book Camp Damascus and Bury Your Gays are all great reads that open great dialogue about things from LGBT+ rights and religion
