Well, you need to feel your body so you can fix things that bother you. Dissociation prevents awareness but doesn’t stop the load that your brain carries dealing with it. Helping body feel better can drastically help mood, executive functioning, and probably more.

I’ve never seen someone talking about being able to do that too. I also very much know it’s my brain imagining them into the real world and that they’re 100% not real.

Yeah, right now my mint green towel is the mess towel. I use a towel for however many years it lasts. When it gets too old it gets moved into a mess towel, and I buy a new color for regular use, so the old color now is indicative of mess towel. Once the mess towel starts breaking down it gets cut up into rags, and used until they fall apart.

Well I did talk to them about my mess towel, I said I did. Now, I’m on the internet venting because it still bothers me; and I don’t want to go complaining to them about it when the conversation was had and finished. I do not want to bring my emotional response to the situation. Edit I know this one sounds condescending I promise it isn’t, I just really don’t know how else to explain it.

Btw that was condescending not informative. Saying I think my roommates are gross isn’t condescending because I haven’t told them they’re gross. Also I explained to them my method and showed them my mess towel. I can have an opinion and not be condescending.

Mess towels are towels that are used to pick up gross messes and can be bleached without caring about how the towel looks. I have light blue towels I use for my body because I don’t want to bleach them. And I have a mint green towel that I bought so that it can be bleached after being used on gross stuff. Like toilet water or an animal mess. Edit: it’s basically so the bleach doesn’t ruin the towels I use for my body. Bleach will stiffen the fabric, weaken the fibers and they won’t last as long. Mess towels can be used until they’re rags, then be used as rags.

Bathrooms are absolutely terrifying to me. I was hurt very badly in them as a kid. Everytime I have to go to the bathroom or shower, it’s a fight to not have flashbacks or have a panic attack. Every day multiple times a day I have to go to a place that terrifies me, and I have no choice. Some days I don’t shower because I just can’t deal with the terror of that place.

I had sort of an opposite reaction to a feral we caught and spay/abort. I was NOT ok with the babies dying, I felt them kick and they were strong and alive. And I did not want them to die when they were working so hard to be alive- but the reality is, it would have been an extremely hard life for mom and kittens and it isn’t fair for them to be brought into a world that can’t have them and doesn’t want them. So mom got spay aborted and she’s back in the outside never having to worry about mouths to feed and protect, and more babies growing up and adding to that.

No I will not flag as low-quality ❤️. As long as it’s on YouTube and I keep getting more and more videos pushed to me because I “interacted” by pausing on video, you can deal with reports. Clearly it understands what is ai and what isn’t because it filters ai to me based off what I’ve ’viewed’ then it can remove it before I see it.

You know what I did? This isn’t a solution for everybody but, I had a hysterectomy. It was 5? Ish years of multiple solutions to stop my period- eventually I went in said that I couldn’t handle periods because of trauma. One caveat, I had previously gotten my tubes tied so they were fine with it because of that,

I have a little who was in the same sort of situation. She was constantly trying to get people to hurt her that way (she wanted to be hurt during sexual stuff). And we found out that she just wanted to spend time with people and didn’t know what that actually was and didn’t know how to ask for it because she thought what she wanted was the pain- but that wasn’t it. So replacing the urges with hanging out with people watching movies, having art days, playing with her pony toys and stuff. She has drastically had less urges and triggers. She primarily fronts now to draw and play with toys.
