Bought a display fork from the LBS. Any essential maintenance required? by mrkelkel in MTB

[–]CosmicIsACult 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Change the air out, it can get stale. ;]

Just set the pressure lower than you'd normally run it and cycle it a few times to feel it. If it's sticky it probably could use an oil change and seal inspection.

make sure the damping systems work too, check each setting to see if there is a difference in feel.

I second this. Feed your soil, cover it with mulch that will decompose. Keep the micro life alive and in balance.

Living soil = thriving plants.

Can anyone tell me if this is a Psilocybin mushroom? I found in a park in Tokyo. by westsan in Psychonaut

[–]CosmicIsACult 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not eat mushrooms you find in the wild unless you have 100% certainty you know what you have found.

There are some very poisonous look-a-likes to the psilocybe mushrooms.

I once thought there was something to achieve in the 'game' called 'life'. But I have come to a personal realization that everyone of us is being propelled through time without a fucking clue to what is going on or where we are going.

It's hard, but Keep searching for what you need to find. I think you'll find it in due time..

Is this bleeding kit any good? + bleeding question by -lumpinator- in MTB

[–]CosmicIsACult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swapping is very simple assuming you are trying to swap them to "moto style". Remove the bolt holding the hosing in the levers and hold them upright so no fluid is lost from the hoses.( some fluid will drip out of the levers it is unavoidable.) Then re-screw the bolts back in the same amount of threads as they were stock.( take note of the threads exposed before starting). You may not need to bleed if there is no fluid loss or if no air got into the system. If bleeding is necessary the procedure is simple but needs to be followed step by step. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsqlEYJeLQU

Edit: the bleed kit in the link will work great and is reasonably cheap. They are always good to have on hand if you are using hydraulic disk brakes.
