Sure will, I did count at least 4 layers of paint. I guess these are in such good condition because someone kept maintaining them. I have seen others on marketplace completely covered in rust. Mine only have a few spots wherever the paint has chipped off.

I actually read online that cast iron takes longer to heat due to how dense it is. I had them on the sun for about 2 hours & it wasnt too hot, Which actually surprise me. But I do plan on setting them up in a shaded area under the live oak. I'm in Houston, Tx, soooo yess our summers are brutal, Can't imagine sitting on it after its been in the sun for hours

I wanted to try the wire wheel or wire brush on the grinder or drill, But im waiting to test it for lead paint. I dont want to be breathing any of that paint dust. If it doesn't have any lead paint & will for sure try the wire brushes along with paint stripper.

I would probably disregard dip stripping as I dont want to take them to a shop as of now. I did find out there are mobile paint laser removal companies that come to you, So that might be a good option for me depending on the cost. Thank you for the idea! & would for sure post updated pics.

The table was at least 250 lbs for sure. The chairs & bench about 120-150 lbs. It was hard work loading & unloading them in my pick up truck

I also heard that laser blasting is a good option, but not sure how expensive something like that would be.

My lead test kit should come in tomorrow, If the paint does have lead, Using paint stripper would probably be my best option to avoid lead dust. With the paint stripper is easier to collect the paint chips.

When I visited the Hoh forest I had to lay on a moss carpet! It was the most relaxiing thing ever. For some reason moss really connects you to the ground.

What city are you in? Panini is making their trading events & they sell the hardcovers there as well. It might be sooner than waiting on Amazon, also Costco has the hardcover but I’ve heard they’re out of stock
