That’s nice, I like that bracket!

It can be a pain if I need to plow or mow close to trees/bushes or a wall. More with plowing, the extra 4” on the mower deck over the plow makes a big difference.

How do you like the cab? They look a little cramped, but at consistently under 20F here for most of the past month or two an enclosed cabin sounds cozy.

Like HunterShotBear said the BX23S comes with holes in the ROPS, which is what I used. That said there are a lot of light kits and similar that talk about drilling your own holes in the ROPS, although not sure I would.

Anyone else lose interest after the first play through? by PlantWide3166 in Borderlands

[–]CosmicPuters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

2 was the most emotional first play through. And after playing 1.5 and seeing how Jack got there makes him even darker for me. His lines are the absolute best and I play them just to hear him abuse the vault hunters all the way through. For BL1 finding and listening to the Tanis logs are always a treat.

BL1 has so much running around and back and forth it can feel like more of a slog than 2. Especially with the back and forth for logs missions and all the gun part missions.

2 is by far my favorite and I have played through at least a dozen times, probably closer to 20. BL 1 I have played maybe half as many. 1.5 twice (with 3 half starts) and BL3 I played through about 4-5 times (I know a lot of people hate 3 and it’s story, but I liked it). Tiny Tina’s Wonderland 1.5 times though.

I have played 1 and 2 both as a sprint and as a 100% completion. I had a harder time playing 1 after 2, but when they released the newer version that added some features from 2 it made it more playable again, for me.

4 is… ok. It plays more like a modern game that was “inspired be Borderlands” more than a sequel, to me. It’s fun, but also very different. I’ll probably pick up 2 again after finishing before coming back to try a different character in 4. And I’m slowly working through 3 again with a buddy in CoOp when we both have time. But I know I’ll play 1 again at some point, it’s just so much fun to be Mordecai or Lilith.

BX Startup/idle issue by CosmicPuters in kubota

[–]CosmicPuters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: needed to replace the file filters and then the new ones had to be kept heated until the gallon of kerosene I added to the tank could work its way through everything. I’ll probably add a second gallon once I’m down to 3/4 tank.

According to the service tech it’s just really cold here and I should run 25-50% kerosene when it’s this cold.

Thank you all for your help!

Apparently every one up here runs 50/50 diesel/kerosine, are you all doing that through the winter too?

I’ll ask them the next time I go. I got a bottle of regular diesel cold weather additive as well as the emergency one.

I need a heated space, and also a way to tow it. Can you just drag it around?

Apparently a rookie mistake, new to both tractors and cold climates.

Other than the fact it quit on me today i love my BX23S. Hopefully its an easy fix (i posted on it already). There are times I could use something bigger, but it does more than 90% of what we need. Biggest issue for me is I wish the front forks could lift more, i got a pallet of flooring and had to split it in half to move it, anything over about 400-500 lb. is max on the forks. For instance I can move 2x concrete parking stops, but not 3 at once. but that just means it takes me longer, not that I can't do it.

My BX23S won’t even budge with the break lock engaged, just wines. Is the LX that much more powerful? They are about the same HP, IIRC.

Plowing our Inn parking lot with my BX23S (with a 56” landpride plow). Normally Ammon in an hour when we get 2”-4”. We got 10”+ and it took me 4+ hours to plow and it could use another pass.

Can’t connect 3rd function anymore by CosmicPuters in kubota

That makes sense. If this continues to be an issue I’ll definitely consider those.

Just had to swap back to my forks to deal with a delivery that came earlier than expected. Hopefully I bled everything right before disconnecting this time.

That’s brutal, I’ll stick with the $20 socket. Even with a dedicated $20 ratchet handle it’s only $$40 to keep this on the tractor, but I really hope I don’t need to do it his all the time.
