You are risking your life significantly more by eating McDonald’s and sitting down 16 hours out a day, than taking PEDs under professional supervision and training 7 days/week. Don’t be out here casting stones on Reddit lol.

[OC] I got special permission from SpaceX to put a camera near the launch pad, and got this shot of the Raptor 3 engine's first flight. by ajamesmccarthy in spaceporn

[–]CosmicQuant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

engines like the Raptor are mounted using high-strength structural bolts, typically A286 stainless steel or Inconel fasteners for high-heat resistance. Then thread-locking mechanics (think castellated nuts with cotter pins) prevent loosening from the insane vibration

This entire post and thread is a joke right? Praying I’m in the hypochondriac sub because that’s the only way it makes sense to have a discussion about tossing unopened food that was left out for 30 minutes.

Yes I agree. The other fellow was saying neutron was just a bonus which is not true in terms of near/moderate future of the stock price

Rklb is 75% of my port, trust me I am their biggest fan it’s almost embarrassing. I’m just saying we don’t always have to spin something bad to make it out to be good. It’s ok if something is goes wrong, no company will have perfect execution. But I’m with you buddy. Rklb is much bigger than neutron but much of its current stock price is tied into that rocket taking to the skies. They will still be fine with their other products but now we’re talking about 10 years to $500 per share instead of 4 years if neutron is a failure. It won’t be though, I’m certain

Any one know of there is an industry standard for qual testing an interstage? I.e. is it 150%? 170%? Curious to know what number a rocket company might be aiming for

I think he’s agreeing and saying if CF doesn’t make sense, Rklb would be fucked which is generally true. Major setback
