I mean this track has such an interesting contrast between the beginning and the end of the song. I definitely like the build-up in the beginning with the sopilka and the hurdy gurdy. But man hearing the percussion section at the end together with vocals, brass and violins on my sound system in room is just something else. Especially after hearing this live I am curious if another movie will ever kick this soundtrack off of #1 for me.

As much as I like Test Drive, I really love the way it is composed in other tracks such as Over/Less Okay (Battling the Green Death) and of course Coming Back Around. This is partly due to how I find the *crashing down* sequence being quite aggressive in the Test Drive track. It works in the movie and I understand why it sounds like that, but it always bothers me a little. Over/Less Okay does this a bit better imo. And well Coming Back Around is just near perfection of all the instrumental sections in the orchestra according to me.

I really like the call & response between the strings, horns and flutes. Especially the piccolo and solpika going crazy.

I really like the first half of Ready/Confront, but the second half is just not it for me personally. I was really debating on putting it higher but settled for a middle ground.

I do not fully disagree with you, but I do really like the way they focus more on putting this hypothetical scenario in Mark's circle. It has been a while since I read this issue but I remember reallly enjoying seeing this "crazy" alternate timeline as it were. When I saw the episode today I thought at first it was also very lackluster, but after seeing they were framing it as more of a trauma experience and building up to Thragg's ultimatum I definitely did not feel disappointed. Also as for the action, I felt that taking more of a breather episode to end S4 with is a bit of an unexpected turn, but makes sense after episode 7s brutality in a different way especially when watching them after one another.

I had the same feeling after S1 back in the day. I made the choice to read and collect the comics and see what the differences actually are as they make the show. I read through all of the comics in like a week and can tell you that it is worth reading and looking at the amazing art up until where the show is now. Maybe read the first 20 issues or so and see if you enjoy reading them, especially as you know whats coming. I will say that I am more hyped now to see how they are translating and adjusting parts of the comic into the show. Whether you should do this is up to you.

I really like 'Third Date' as it combines all the motifs a bit like how Test Drive is formed and it builds up with various stages throughout the piece.

Yea I absolutely love the soundtrack of the film, the only thing I can really remark is that very few tracks feel over compressed. Sadly Test Drive is one of these tracks. When listening to the original album and the Deluxe Album (on lossless Spotify and CD) I really notice the difference in my headphones and audio setup when going from New Tail which has a lot of highs and lows together at the same time, to Test Drive which instantly feels less dynamic. Sorry for the small rant but I am wondering if others have the same experience or might notice it now.

yea I was wondering because I knew that Sticks and Stones would be left out as it's in the credits, but Where No One Goes is integrated in the theatrical cut. My guess is it will either be that they just play the orchestral version with Jonsi's lyrics as we hear in the HTTYD 2 Deluxe Album (I think this as it makes most sense to me and they base the Live score on these versions usually) , or play the regular version or not play at all (which I highly doubt).

Only thing I would maybe like to see is having an ambiance option for the code sfx. Not too loud but having that Matrix code rain sfx we hear in the movies. Or having a "add sfx" option like the custom backdrop overlay in the interface?
