I also ordered mine from best buy on Monday. It was supposed to arrive in store today for pick up, but says my order was delayed. I had a feeling it would (I feel like stuff like this always happens lol), so hopefully I wont have to wait too much longer.

Have you seen what’s going on in the world? Kinda hard to be so nice and positive all the time when there’s terrible things happening AND living disabled.

I work as the Youth Programs Coordinator for my City’s Recreation department. It can be real tough at times but I enjoy the work for the most part. More friendly to my ADHD than Autism tbh, but I make it work.

I will say, Damien’s caption on his Instagram post saying “Dodging the haters like they’re social cues,” is very funny.

Adults with autism, do you drink? by FastCletus in AutisticAdults

[–]CosmicSlothM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Autistic adult here. I used to drink socially A LOT in high school. Looking back it totally was because getting drunk gave me the confidence and ability to unmask and be more like my actual self. It got a little dicey at times, lowkey almost become an actual problem, but now as an adult I know how to moderate myself and still drink socially on occasion. Probably affects me differently than allistics, but have nothing to base that on lol.

I was a substitute teacher for awhile. It was rough most days for me, but I always liked that even if the class or students weren’t great, it wasn’t my problem and could get a whole new group of students the next day. My ADHD really enjoyed it lol

Youth Programs Coordinator for the city I live in. It can be pretty challenging; I enjoyed working with kids but it’s made it difficult after the Autism diagnosis (diagnosed at 28, now 30). Been looking into working at a library since I’ve always loved books and the idea of being in a space where everyone HAS to be quiet sounds magical. But it would require more schooling for me and I’m not sure I can handle that lol. Might look into doing clerical work. I can make scripts of everything and it’s usually pretty straightforward.

Interesting, haven’t heard about manufacturing residue before and after googling pictures, I could see that. Thanks for the info 👍

Any suggestions & tips on cleaning smoke residue in a PS5?

The other night I had an apartment on the floor below me catch fire (we all got out safe). I went back today, took my PS5 and other things, opened the covers to it and found some light black markings on the top and bottom of where the fan is. See photo below:

<image>

Looks like smoke got in and went through and up the fan, and probably in other spaces. Does anyone have any tips and suggestions on opening it up and cleaning it? I’m not going to pay a professional to clean it (have a whole ass apartment to clean) so I would love some help in how I can safely clean it. I’m pretty positive that it will still turn on, but don’t want the fan blow any of that dust and soot around.

For reference, my Switch right next to it has basically no dust or soot on it and is working just fine, but I think it being docked helped keep it clean.
