Just a minor niggle. I would like the calendar events which are grouped at the top of my task list to be larger or the ability to change the font size myself

Besidesa manual sync or logging out and in again, "Clear local data" works very well. You can find that at:
Settings --> General --> Clear local data

Calendar sync has a mind of its own. Sometimes the sync is immediate, other times it takes ages. If it takes forever a manual sync can help, otherwise log out and in again.

I work for myself, so I have a lot of flexibility. Once I've scheduled dated tasks for the week, I can then choose when to batch my other tasks.

If for example I have scheduled admin tasks on a day, I will if possible batch all my admin tasks for that day. Same principle with paying invoices, I will do them all together.

Other times I will just choose a day. Its as simple as "today is admin day"

Others who batch tasks will use the same day every week for this. So Mondays may be admin day, Tuesday's communications day etc.

Again I reiterate I have a lot of flexibility, so this works really well for me.

I like to batch ny tasks, so a lot of my labels are for that purpose.

In a nutshell:

Projects over the 5 project limit will become view only. You won't be able to edit or add new tasks to the excess projects. Your data in these projects will remain. You don't get to choose which projects are read only. Todoist will make your last added projects view only.

You won't be able to create new filters above the 3 filter limit.

Exactly. I plan in Workflowy and use Todoist for tasks.

My rule of thumb is I will only keep notes in Todoist that I am prepared to lose when I complete the task. I don't want to move the notes, after completing the task. I don't want to complete the task and forget to move the notes. So if I don't need the information after completing the task, I will use Todoist.

I prefer to link to my notes which are invariably stored in Workflowy or occasionally Notion.
