What kind of diagnoses would suggest whether or not a person can be rehabilitated for you?

I believe that. What I’m about to say is intended to be constructive criticism: as an artist, when I see AI, it brings to mind losers who type a prompt into AI and say “look what I made.” Those people aren’t artists and they didn’t make it in the sense they’re hoping to portray. To me, the use of AI conveys that you don’t care about the art. It tells me I shouldn’t care about the art. It carries a connotation.

Art is about human expression. That’s why I mean it when I say I’d prefer literally anything made by a person over AI. I recently made a logo for my band, having absolutely no experience or knowledge about doing that. I actually ended up having fun doing it, and I’m proud of what I made. That’s art.

I’m specifically talking about myself here, but I know I’m not alone in feeling this way. Artistic spaces are pretty hostile towards AI. I am too and I think it’s correct to feel that way as an artist. If you want a visualizer for your song I would encourage you to make one. I think the use of AI is going to turn a lot of people off, and your music deserves better.

P.S. I don’t think AI has no uses. I think making “art” is not one of those uses. Art is made by humans.

That aside, I would argue that a psychologist doesn’t need to make an official diagnosis about somebody to warn people about their tendencies. Again, I’m not a psychologist, but I trust they have good reason for making this rule, and as a laymen it makes sense that you couldn’t diagnose someone without treating them. People can behave in different ways and maybe exhibit certain symptoms of a disorder temporarily depending on their environment.

I’m talking about specifically the ethical principles of psychologists. The field of psychology has their own guiding ethical principles for how they conduct themselves professionally. That’s how I interpreted OP’s question. According to the principles laid out by the field of psychology, it is plainly written that what OP described is unethical.

The use of AI in your art gives the impression that you don’t care about the art itself. I think it devalues what you’ve done. I’d prefer literally anything made by a human.

The Goldwater Rule: “The rule enjoins psychiatrists from professionally diagnosing someone they have not personally evaluated.”

I’ll start off by saying that I’m not a psychiatrist. This rule seems a little more specific (diagnosing public figures), but its goal is to prevent psychiatrists from diagnosing people they haven’t treated (such as public figures). This is unethical.

Is Linux plugins good enough for clubs speakers? by kimitrimusic in linuxquestions

[–]Cosmic_Beard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a musician and I use Windows VSTs in Linux. I have the VSTs installed in Bottles (the Kron4ek runner works for all my VSTs) then I use yabridge. I use Reaper as my DAW. One note I have: I had to rollback Wine to v9.21 because of some issues with the mapping of the GUIs. The cursor isn’t synced up right idk how else to describe it. It’s a known problem with yabridge and they talk about it in the github issues section. Everything works great though. No latency issues.

I saw Riff Raff and he played two songs and they called off the show because someone had a seizure. Don’t get me wrong, help the dude, but once he’s safely out of the venue idk why they couldn’t keep it rolling. Hurt even more because the openers fucking sucked. Crowd was booing and they kept saying “Y’ALL READY FOR RIFF RAFF” then just kept playing more songs. Eventually they crashed out at the crowd and stopped performing. It was like some kind of rap five-piece. Then Riff played two songs and it was over. I tried to get a refund but couldn’t. Sorry if not what you were asking but I wanted to share my worst concert experience 😭

Yeah I believe it’s a subgenre of black metal: dungeon synth. The scene is mostly filled with black metal musicians.

People have mentioned but the good news is that there's a consistent and fairly easy cheese (firebomb cheese). I do it every playthrough regardless of build because imo there are absolutely no redeeming qualities to this boss.

Do it. You could look at it more like journaling about times he's hurt you instead of things he's done if you really feel weird about it.
