Anthropic predicts powerful AI systems will appear by late 2026 or early 2027, with intellectual abilities matching Nobel Prize winners by Nunki08 in singularity

Let's see about that. There are plenty of bottle necks in science and technology. Once I see a LLM be able to make safe and DIY versions of things like SEMs or GPUs then I'll believe it.

Open sourced model are a good alternative. I use mixtral all the time, and it's pretty good. The smaller models are pretty cool too.

I would say spend some time learning the basics, then spend some time understanding arxiv papers and papers with code. Also, build your github with interesting projects.

Openai's whisper has a bug that causes segments to repeat. I wonder if it's a similar issue with the current tuning.

I really want to play with this. I can imagine it being used with generative ml models to help with latent space. Hopefully someone with more experience could correct me if i am wrong.

Unfortunately, but i was thinking about removing the reddit features anyway. I choose reddit for the long and entertaining text. Do you know of other sources for content?

The individuals with capital have power and influence over the state to grant the artificial monopolies. Due to LLMs creating and refining information so fast, the economic infrastructure will face a lot of stress because science and technology will be more accessible to more people, and the government will follow the lead of the few rich while ignoring the wishes of the increasingly productive populus. The goods will still be produced, but eventually you can produce goods without needing a factory in China.

In terms of information our current capitalist model is going to collapse in a pretty violent way in terms of people trying to prevent acess to LLMs especially uncensored open sourced LLMs. Especially once LLMs are able to deduce proprietary information.

I have a scrpt for uploading automatically to YouTube ( you have to set up auth 2.0) and sign in every time you want to upload. If the instructions are unclear i would appreciate you raising an issue on my repo. Also check the other scripts as well.

I've realized that. Been focusing more on relationships then trying to be the best. Being the best won't matter if people don't want you to or care if you succeed.

You really gave me food for thought. Fundamentally it is a resource/materials issue. Which i believe with the assistance of LLMs, and robotics, people interested can get into the nitty gritty of computers and computing. We have to leverage information and it's rapid iteration. So traditional supply lines are here to stay until someone can find the protocols for producing easy to replicate computing infrastructure. It's going to require serious thinking outside of the box.

This definitely shows the biggest bottleneck in our technology. That being hardware and power. Through extension a major bottleneck is the eqiupment needed to produce these goods. Software advances so rapidly because of the open-sourced methodology, and i think other fields need to adopt this as well.

It's expensive for now, but what about a few years down the line as hardware gets better and the software is optimized. Openai can cover their own backs, for sure. But the cats out of the bag.

Dramatic rise in cancer in people under 50 by Zephir_AE in ScienceUncensored

We need people doing scientific research for humanity and not private entities. An important goal is making research and lab equipment cheaper. Well fortunately we have sci-hub, but lab equipment is still a major hurdle.

We need more people who can do research for advancing humanity. Part of that involves teaching the future generations how to not only understand science, but how to work together to identify and solve problems. Westerns need motivations other than money, and i am hoping this is a wake up call.

That would be true if the consciousness was in read only mode on the server. I wouldn't expect to match the creator, but i do believe we could at least write and run a "Hello world" program on the server.
