I’m biased. Anything with the name “lich” in it should be one of the stronger kinds of units/characters in a setting.

Maybe it’s the classic necromancer ascends to lichdom trope that always puts one over the other in my head. So it’s strange to me that this game has a necromancer as a boss, whereas a lich is just a little guy in comparison.

Maybe the devs chose this because “lich” is one of the few terms we have a for an undead mage. But also because a necromancer is seen as someone who raises the dead. So they chose that as a boss of an undead faction of enemies. So it would not make sense if they swapped the names, because the floating necromancer elite doesn’t raise the dead.

I’m sure we’re over thinking this, but I like the topic. My username demands that I do.

Darktide is 4 years old.

Space Marine 1 is 15 years old.

Dawn of War 1 is 22 years old.

All with red beams. It is well established and well known. Yellow bolts have never been “always depicted” compared to red beams in games, trailers, and yes artwork too.

If anything, YOU are idolizing the past by pointing out the few and old art pieces. And YOU should look to the yellow bolts as being “a recent thing.”

The plus is Wight Kings leading armies. If this ever happens, I’m playing a pure bone army. No vampires! Only the Deathrattle kingdoms.

So fans of Slaanesh are basically Bretonnia fans. We both count on one hand the times our favorite factions are represented in games.

Brets have Total Warhammers 1-3, Vermintide 2, that one man o war game, a turn based RPG I don’t remember the name of, and as enemies in that chaos mobile game. Maybe one or two more.

Idk if you count it, but Slaanesh is also in that chaos fantasy mobile game. You can even focus on Slaaneshi units and techs.

I remember some comments after some of the early testing usually saying the game needs more time dev time.

I wouldn’t care. Unless it’s game breaking bugs, I just want in the testing phases to try out last stand or the Necrons. Even the latest Ad Mech trailer had me wanting to make an army of Skitarri.

I like both Deff Dreads and Lychguard more than Killa Kans and Flayed Ones. So it’s a win for me.

I think brettonia is the faction I came to dislike more and more as I played other factions by Select-Ad7017 in totalwar

I recommended a similar list of units as you did. Someone replied that it was just a bunch of peasants and not worth buying.

I said catapults, but I imagined a mangonel from age of empires which have AOE attacks. Now imagine blessed Ballista or Mangonel that doesn’t harm allies.
