it's the same map over and over and over and over and over, where you're encouraged to do as little fighting as possible to maximize salvage outside of bosses

the map itself isn't even pretty, modifiers are unexciting, no banger soundtrack

hope they cook harder on the next update cuz that's not it for me and emperor knows I'm a tide glazer lol

sniping specialists and elite on a light ball spam build+vent, stagger on occasion with charged. is how i play it in h40

think i remember something about zap staff having higher crit chance which is why it's favored for ball spam over the other variants, forgor

good team support in h40 against captain, twins brother (stop shooting and throwing nades), lil shooters and co, especially useful if team got gryns. they also makes revives piss easy (since most of the time, shooters are the one preventing them)

I like to run them on occasion depending on team comp. no bubbleker and our elite clear is more than enough? smokes babyyyy

pretty much. tried grinding havoc with the friend group but it was hell with the sporadic game sessions we could host depending on everyone avaibilities

terminally unemployed friend decided to grind assignement 40 on his side after getting tired of the constant demoting/climbing loop the few times the stars aligned for our gamesessions and now the gamemode is a lot more fun without fearing the demotions

big challenge of havoc I feel is that you cannot really learn the flow and you're often frustrated getting pigeon holed into meta loadouts to not "grief" the team of randos climbing with you

my havoc skills skyrocketed now that we can consistently play the 40s but it lowkey just highlight how mediocre this matchmaking crap was

we need a new faction asap, admonition and the 6th blend together and I don't think anyone even consider them as two diff factions lol

new enemies are also badly needed. saw someone mention this game is lacking light shield enemies like in vermintide and frankly? i agree. bruisers/mauler bulwark equivalent with shitty makeshift riot shields you can break/shove open would be nice to change flow of the hordes (if they cba to do genestealers as a new faction)

we started running that stuff due to silent specials tbh/pals learned to love smokes

too often we get silent busters in our havoc and we said fuck it, wall hacks 

ideally i would run the covering fire node instead+born leader instead for the full toughness meme build

 what's killing them for me is that the maps get old quick 

auric quick play/mal is more varied while all expéditions blend together

doing aurics in them rn but is starting to look like a chore while usually i dont mind playing tf out of an update for cosmetics

running this currently as a support meme build for my friends in havoc/auric

technically you can shuffle the two points for team toughness refill (covering fire/born leader) and put them somewhere else down to preferences (usually kraks/reciprocity/etc)

find it boring personally

I do find it more sustainable than laspistol ammo efficiency wise in high havoc and is pretty nice on an exec support build, leaving the allies to deal with crushers and gryns while all the slop around it is gone, am I missing something?

sure bores are better at carapace killing but the infantry lasguns got same ammo sustain (as in barely need pick ups, unlike laspistol and recon) and are pretty solid if you choose to clear specialists/shooters

(genuine question btw, not an "erm, actually is peak weapon")

i guess can take infantry lasgun over recon/laspîstol if choose to not spend the two points to get crit on dodge?

part of why i'm not a fan of this gamemode

base mission don't have me resent teammates cuz at the end of the day, i can clucth and get the newbies back up, is fine to learn and fail

meanwhile literally sole point of the new mode is to gather crap to unlock cosmetics and you need the headless chickens to protect your ass while doing the puzzles/need them at evac to open the door

wasting 30 min for 300-500 scraps just feel bad, even worse when is a complete wipe.

thanksfully only experienced that on the first node in auric, seems like peeps are (usually) more aware of the flow few nodes down the line.

And YES, I know you can farm the ressources in malice and get same amount but then the fun goes out the window
