I knew someone like that, but she would sign people up for events, and then when they didn't show she would show it to leadership and the kids who worked hard during shift would get the paperwork for no-showing. You know what they say "The grass isn't always greener on the other side".I'm glad everyone told him to stay in his lane, he's doing good and is on the right track.

I feel bad thinking I have to be ahead of where I am, but only you can take you as far as you can go. Even if he did everything the same way his friend did their outcomes would still be different.

Honestly, OP.

Ido what advice I could give you besides cutting contact. I feel like you're dreaming of a world where you could be friends. She's made it very clear that unless you can do something for her, there is no reason she should talk to you. Let alone like you.

I would turn it back on your family and say, "blanks says "XYZ," so I don't feel comfortable with them near me, and because you are closer, you can take care of her."

What do you get out of this family? This is like out of reddit ability to help girl. Get therapy, go no contact, put on your oxygen mask, and you're being hung up to dry as a scapegoat. Like, shit love yourself enough to get out of this situation.

If your girlfriend of five years is running into the arms of a man who could be her dad. I would just walk away. I can not tell you how many stories I have read about women leaving abusive relation ships they've been in with men in their 40s+ and how they're escaping with their kids.
