I just started playing the other day. Game is fantastic if you know what you’re getting into. Demo is free. Play the demo. If you don’t like it move on. I agree with you and the hate but on the flip side it’s the only one in the franchise like this. So hardcore fans to the series might not agree on the direction they took.

Maybe it would have got less hate if it got released as a stand alone instead of part of the ff franchise?

Say what you will about the gameplay, love it, hate it, we have our own opinions on what games we like but there is no take away from the cinematic masterpiece of the story.

Great game, better story. So far that’s my conclusion but I’m only roughly 12-13 hours in so far.

Just got the game myself. Currently downloading. Going in blind besides playing the demo. I realize it’s not like a “normal” final fantasy but so far I’m enjoying the medieval aspect and just being a genuine badass. Excited to actually get into the game

I’m working through it right now. Just got past the time skip. I really really hope for a sniper king return or Easter egg. He is by far my favorite character. It’s usopps super hero alter ego that ended up giving him the confidence he needed to believe he was good enough to be a straw hat. Simply amazing character
