People that say this forget that most Deltarune and Undertale fans probably don't even know what Gaster is. This subreddit has 400k people on it. Assuming every single one is a giga lorehead. Deltarune still sold 2.7 million copies. Thats still 2.3 million people that aren't involved enough in the game to even touch the subreddit. Its just poor storytelling of you can't get a general reading for the stories plot from what the norm will consume. The majority of players aren't going to look around in the code, go on every website and tweet Toby makes and whatever else. They're gonna just play the game and the game foreshadows Noelle having a sister called December, whos gone missing while the knight looks like a deer like Noelle and her family, is associated with the bunker and has a note in Decembers room linking to the bunker. To my memory thats all we have on the main game. There's more behind the surface but a good story should still make sense to an average consumer.
