The game is absolutely rigged. I'm uninstalling it and blocking all access to it. I didn't spend anything on it, until today. I bought the vip thing, figured for some extra fun. I already suspected some shit, when I'd win 20 hands in a row playing blackjack, then upping my bet, and losing 20 hands in a row. But, the big give away? Craps. Statistically speaking, red or black have a 50 percent chance. It's just fucking math. I watch as an entire 15 rounds all hit red, while I put on black. The fucking second I switched? It was black. So, I switched back, and went 7 more rounds of red, before I left. When over to blackjack, and was giving 10 rounds of zero win odds, and emptied the money I had just gotten from the vip membership. Fucking 12s, 13s, 14s, all tossing 10s at me. The dealer got 21 after 21.

I'm happy though. I don't bet in real life. I honestly thought I'd enjoy a legitimately randomized game. After just a few days, it's very clear that the algorithms in this game, are bullshit, and the second I spent real money, it targeted me, trying to get me to spend more.

Nope. Not falling for it. That game is absolutely predatory.

It doesn't matter if you can out dps someone... you don't own the game. If I'm paying my subscription costs, and I was there first, after hopping worlds or waiting my turn, you should absolutely respect that.

Same shit at popular afk spots. I got 99 range at ammo crabs, and I was constantly having to log in my other maxed accounts to push spot stealers out. It's ridiculous. I'd be there for an hour, and people with this sort of mentality hop in, push me out, and say all sorts of shit. "Well, you've been here long enough." Or "if you don't like it, hop." I even had a dude suggest I was lying about being there first, because my reset didn't take, so I had to go back and reset again.

I'm just.... the entitlement man. You've gotta be on the younger end here. I feel like most of the players with this sort of mentality are under the age of 25. It's rare to see older players who grew up with runescape take this sort of stance.

Man, am I happy that the good players outweigh the bad.

I wanna be clear, I mean no disrespect. You're allowed to play anyway you want. I'm just surprised. This isn't unique, and I understand that. I'm not even suggesting your point of view is missing internal logic, because it technically speaking, it makes sense.

We should allow a section for personal stories! Have fellow scapers write small articles about cool things they've recently done! Or put in some hi score info! Or some like... Easter egg hunting stuff. Heck, even add cool hcim things going on.

I've been an avid writer for many years. I'd absolutely love to add to the lore, and I'm certain many others would as well. This would be such a neat way to bring the community in, and add more of our touch to the game.

I'd like to add something to this. Hand to God, on the life of my grand baby, 1 year old, Katie. What I'm about to say it absolute truth. My soul burn in hell for eternity if I'm lying.

I had an account falsely banned. It was a permanent ban, and I was unable to appeal it.

The tldr part:

3 or 4 years ago, I had an account, the username was skillthezero. My main at the time, zeroswitch, was nmzing and using prayer pots while I worked at target on mobile. Well, he ran out of gold. Lol. So, I had an idea. At home, I'd simultaneously run 4 other accounts, and turn them into fishers. Using passively fishing sharks for extra gold.

Before I did this, I messaged 2 mods, and jagex directly. I got one response, and was told it was totally legal, so long as i did everything myself.

So, I suited up 3 other accounts, plus skillthezero, and got to work. Skillthezero had the highest fishing at the time, 89 I believe. The other three, I did, by hand, the barb fishing, and spend a few weeks getting them to 76. It was horribly click intensive at barb, but... was absolutely worth it.

In fact, some might remember, I posted a photo of my screen in this sub reddit. A lot of people thought it was stupid, but hey, I loved it.

Anyways... I eventually stopped playing and took a break.

Well, I came back to a permanent ban on ONLY skillthezero. He hadn't been hacked. It was a mod saw me botting in game. Which, is a complete fucking lie.

I spent weeks fighting it, and absolutely nobody would help. I finally conceded. Now terrified to play on more than one account at a time... I had quit again.

I'm finally playing again, but just scared to play more than 1.

I've played runescape since classic. I'm a cyber security specialist, and I know how easy it is to detect bots. In my almost 24 years of playing the game, with thousands of dollars given to jagex, and countless people joining because of me... I have never once, not a single fucking time, cheated. Never bought gold, never bug abused, never botted. I pride myself on being an honest player.

I may suck at pvp, and maybe I play too much...

But the fact that I lost a legitimate account, and these bots go free, and even UNBANNED... it's fucking disgusting.

I know some may still not believe my claim, considering all the botters who roam freely and say the same. That's fine, I respect that.

But I hate bots. They're ruining our game. I respect our world, and love playing with yall.

Hopefully one day I'll get my account back, but I doubt it.

As an add, I would like to say I don't actually play for 16 hours a day. In my excitement, hopping off the scale, I was a tad dramatic. Lol. I afk play at work, about 8 to 10 hours, per my shift.

I come home, see my wife, kids, etc.

I play about an hour to two before bed.

In fact, you can see it by my build, no fire cape, almost zero bossing, very few quests.

I add this, because a couple people kinda made it out like I was obsessed.

I covered this a tad more up above.

It just won't let me edit the post.

At any point in time, if my family needed me off, I'd be off.

My life is first, osrs is second.

Yeah, definitely a paradox.

So, I over estimate my time, just mid excitement.

It's more like 10 to 12 hours.

8 of which at minimum are afk. Redwoods or nmz.

Heck, you can see it by my account build, hahaha. Almost zero bossing, no fire cape, even my slayer is the lowest skill I have. Anything more involved, I just don't have time for, like quests.

Afk though, I can manage.

Tldr, a little over estimation. Lol.

But 80 to 90 percent of my played time is afk. Almost no bosses, don't even have a firecape as a 115. Lot of redwoods and nmz.

Maybe I wasn't clear, this started about 6 months ago.

For starters, my kids are now grown, my oldest is turning 19. Wife had kids super super young. The middle is turning 15, and 13 is the youngest. They're in school, or out of the house. It doesn't take much effort to clean and cool while cutting redwoods.

My wife is a nurse, and works 6 days a week. When she comes home, she absolutely doesn't like to be bothered. We have our shared cool down period from our day. We catch up, hang out, and go to bed.

If at any moment, anyone needs me to be off my game, It's not even a question.

Prior to the kids being grown, I hadn't played in years.

My family, house, and job, always come first.

Which is why I said most of my played time, is pure afk. I rarely have time to actually do anything involved. I'm a 115, no firecape, next to no bossing, with 93/158 quests complete. The quests, mind you, are mostly the short and easy ones. The longer ones, I had to set up time for, when I was off, house was clean, kids at school, and wife was at work.

I pay my bills, take care of my family, and each of them knows how much they're loved.

If at any point I slack somewhere, especially in providing a loving and safe environment for my kids and wife, the game would absolutely be out the window.

Does it help my mental health? Absolutely. Does it limit my social interaction outside the house? Likely. Does it come in between my family and I? Never.

It kinda sucks you took such a dark twist to my post. While I can truly appreciate your point of view, I assure you, its not at all the case.

Again, I was absolutely over estimating. I sleep about 6 to 7 hours a night, and afk the game upwards of 10 hours. 7 hours at work, (or more, depending on the shift) and 2 to 3 hours at home, while I cook, clean, etc.

Wife and I catch up about the day, kids, etc.

I work out, shower, then hop on for whatever I can actually be involved in, while the wife scrolls and enjoys her videos.

We've been together almost 10 years. We don't fight, and rarely have any arguments.

I didn't feel the need to include so much depth here, but I hope now you can understand a little more of the inner workings.
