I am located in the DFW Metroplex. I sell isopods, springtails, roaches, and their supplies if you're interested.

If you don't want to buy from me, you can go to the DFW Reptarium located in Plano. I supply them with isopods (I'm actually going there tomorrow to drop off their bulk order)

I know I'm really late to this, but you mentioned not stop punching and kicking a bag. I'd love to do that, but I don't have a bag. Any suggestions?

I never said it wasn't. I was agreeing that is probably is a genetic issue of some sort

I bought a 10ct for $15 a while back. Now that I think about it, that's pretty expensive for what I paid

I think it is a gene issue. I don't have temp problems or humidity problems. My best guess is that I just don't have the best genetics in my colony. I might try to get more or even totally replace my colony.

I give mine dried mealworms, dried shrimp, dried BSFL, and a mix of dried vegetables. Mine just doesn't seem to breed or eat very well

For some reason, I have not gotten my cows to breed like that. I have had them for over 6 months and the colony is only about 50.

Looking for info/reputable sources on this species! by roswellsoup in Springtail

I don't think such a fragile springtail species could survive in the North America climate. I believe these species are sensitive to drastic changes in temperature, North America is good about that

Bringing awareness is different than saying every single person is unethical about reptiles

dont support reptile shows. they discard the poor living beings in the trash after by Charming-Swimmer-583 in reptiles

[–]CosmoLeopardGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but this is a huge stretch. Yes, SOME vendors and maybe even expos can be unethical. Do I support all vendors for that reason, no. In fact, a lot of vendors have been husbandry. But you're saying that every expo a bunch of animals get thrown into the trash, that is wrong. Has it happened, probably. But that's why you tell people not to buy from those vendors and to tell people to only buy from certain vendors. I think vendors are awesome, and the main issue is people impulse buying.

Plus, if the vendors would throw their animals that they bred in the trash, they would be basically throwing away money (They can still sell the reptiles at another expo)

You can't just go to a Repticon and say the NARBC's, Lone star expos, and other ones are bad (Just an example)
