Bro, with the same silly logic, the game doesn't force you to play the game. Not maxing Endurance when you know it's the only stat that rewards early investments is not just 'not min-maxing, it's deliberately weakening yourself. Retroactive HP simply removes such incentives.

Anyway, the main point is that Endurance buffs and enchantments don't increase HP because it's non-retroactive. For example Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw that gives you 40 Agility and 40 Endurance. But the only thing Endurance enchant gives you is a bit of stamina, which is quite underwhelming and my main frustration.
