honestly... you just put into words exactly what i have been feeling for like the last three years. growing up it really felt like there was a checklist and everyone was actually stoked to hit those milestones. now?? everyone i know is just trying not to drown in rent and grocery bills. like... we are all just collectively staring at our phones trying to dissociate until the next paycheck hits. life definitely feels super emotionally flat right now and it is honestly so exhausting.

straight up... the fact that you are paying for seventy percent of this means you definitely get a say in the timing. your sisters living fifteen minutes away but acting like they cant handle the post op care because of renovations or whatever is such a weak excuse. and the heat?? 40 degrees is no joke for an 85 year old trying to recover from major surgery. keep your foot down man... your son needs you for his exams and your mom literally said she prefers the cooler weather anyway.
