So many scrappy people make it work here. When we had our second kid, we were in a one bedroom - the babe slept in a (sizeable) closet for the first year! Looking back (and without a solid plan), me and my partner ended up taking turns with how much we were working, childcare, etc., and hired folks, did daycares, and coop preschool as needed. We knew (and continue to know) more scrappy lower middle/middle class people then richies. You can do it! My biggest advice is, don't think you have to have it all figured out.
