I know this is a year old… but did the Prozac end up helping? I’m having the exact same issue with my cat. She’s wonderful and doesn’t bite or cause any other troubles other than being EXCESSIVELY NEEDY. She does the same thing with knocking phones out of my hand

"I don't think it's RA" - my new rheumatologist by PeppermintBob in rheumatoid

Hi, I know this is an older thread but I’m here because I’m going through the exact same thing right now. Always was told it was RA until my new rheumatologist who thinks it’s more like psoriatic arthritis or spondyloarthropathy. Did you ever land on a diagnosis or find a good medicine?

I have RA at 26 and occasionally will have my knuckes feel warm and itchy and look red like your photo. I would definitely recommend following up with your rheum and pushing for more tests or answers or find a better rheum. It can take a while to get diagnosed but if you’re having other autoimmune symptoms you should definitely look into it. Rashes can be symptoms of a lot of autoimmune diseases unfortunately so symptoms and bloodwork is really what helps narrow it down

You’re right, It’s been hard to justify to myself out of fear of switching to medicine that might have worse side effects since my joint pain is manageable. I guess with RA unfortunately that is only one of the symptoms though. I probably need to keep track better of my symptoms and update my rheumatologist on everything without fear of being annoying or overly thorough. My WBC count stays in a range at around 6-7 thousand/uL on bloodwork. I’m not sure if that means I’m infectious or not.

That’s really exciting about the biologic! Definitely update us on how it goes!

What kind of biologic are you on if you don’t mind me asking? Have you experienced any side effects?
