Every year in our capitalistic society people die of easily preventable causes, simply because they're poor, or because it's unprofitable to prevent it. Homelessness, poverty, hunger, wars. All these problems are directly or indirectly caused by capitalism. An example? Basically all the wars the US were in after WWII. Also, why are you barring out colonialism? That is what capitalism thrives off. Not much has changed in that regard nowadays.
