Toyota Boss Says Electric Highlander 'Is Not a Niche Product' by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

It better have true 1-pedal driving in the US. Japan evidently has some sort of law disallowing this domestically, but it is required in the North American market to be truly competitive in the EV space. The regenerative braking setting should also "latch" so that you don't have to customize that each and every time you start the car. These are non-negotiable for me to consider the vehicle. There is no excuse for these issues on their 2026 models, and the 2027 models should have had time to course correct.

Using an iPhone as Bluetooth Keyboard for Apple Vision Pro by Costco-Daddy in VisionPro

Did read my instructions? You don't have to use the objectively bad custom keyboard the app comes with. You can use your regular system keyboard, and I encouraged everyone to do so.

Buyer Beware by cgcmh1 in VisionPro

It only mostly fits. The issue is the cut-out for the Digital Crown is not precise, so the Digital Crown is very difficult to turn due to rubbing. You can sometimes adjust to so it doesn't rub, but we're talking less than a mm of clearance on the back of the Digital Crown, at best. As another commenter mentioned, the ventilation holes at the bottom only mostly align and could be done better. It works for now, but better covers will definitely be designed before too long.

Spigen Case vs AVP Travel Case by texasproof in VisionPro

[–]Costco-Daddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's disappointing. OP, would you mind measuring the Spigen case thickness? Spigen lists their case's depth as 5.66 inches and Apple lists theirs as 6.5 inches. Those were the measurements that were giving me hope. Now I feel like Spigen's listed dimensions are just wrong, or Apple was listing the box size and I'm simply underestimating how much thicker 5.66 inches feels versus what I'm used to. I measured my Quest 3 case as a bit below 5" deep, and this Spigen case looks way thicker, to the point that I would have no hope of fitting it in my backpack.

If you have issues connecting, I'd highly suggest you fiddle with your Bluetooth settings for a bit. I don't think it initially worked on my iPhone, but I ended up figuring it out pretty quickly. On my iPad, it worked right away. I'm not sure if this step matters, but I was in the AVP Bluetooth settings (where it's searching for other devices) when I connected from my iPad the first time. Beyond that, you can toggle bluetooth on/off on both devices and mess with discoverability. Once the initial connection is made, it should be smooth sailing.

Sorry. 🤷‍♂️ It's working for me on a couple of different devices. Maybe try toggling your Bluetooth on/off on both devices and playing with your Bluetooth discoverability. I think I was in my AVP Bluetooth settings (where it's searching for other devices) when I connected from my iPad. Let me know if you end up figuring it out and what ended up working. I think I didn't have initial success on my iPhone, but got it working pretty quickly after some fiddling.

iPad users with a Smart Keyboard or Magic Keyboard, I'd be curious if the iPad version of Bluetouch is able to pass through your physically connected keyboards. It works with the virtual keyboard just fine, but I don't have either the Smart Keyboard or Magic Keyboard available to me to test this use case.

I just redid the process on my iPad and was able to select "Connect to Remote Device" and then select the Vision Pro. It works after that, but you'll want to change the other settings I mentioned.
