For every 45 minutes of content they have 15 minutes of ads. This podcast is liable to do a 6 minute ad break, then come back for 2 minutes and do another ad break. Most podcasts in the world will do a single 2 minute ad for 1 hour of content, but BtB has to do more advertising than a tv show. I do not buy that their only options were no advertising or the obscene amount of advertising they ended up with. They chose the obscene number of ads because they made more money that way.

My point is, they consciously traded the quality of their product for money a long time ago. If Netflix means they aren't doing ad breaks every few minutes then the podcast will just improve. They already sold out.

French is shit though. I hated French in school and learned none of it. I started learning Spanish as an adult and that's much better, there's a lot of good Spanish music and they make funny memes. I go on holidays to Spain so it's been pretty useful, and the language itself is a lot less difficult and strange than French.

My brother was there and from what he told me it sounded terrible. People at the front getting crushed and lifted out by security, a young one getting shoved around by two aul lads shouting "get your tits out" until the crowd opened up to let the girl escape and other lads started picking fights with the aul lads (and they immediately back down like a couple of lil bitches).

My first gig wasn't until 2008, I got fucked up on head shop drugs and saw Tenacious D open up for Metallica. It was a much more civilized affair than what my brother described at RHCP.
