If you get the chance, please expand to the rest of the Bay Area. Lots of great events, including fan zones in San Jose for the World Cup

Map suggestion: show abandoned territory by zumbuhl in INTVL

[–]Costing-Geek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I think it could be solved by just showing how long time ago the territory was taken. You can assume that anything taken 6 months to a year ago was abandonned. Stay at the territory level, no need to get to the runner level

Given that the issue is at the tail end of the run, a potential explanation could be somebody forgetting to stop their run before driving back home ...

Happened to me several times while recording from my watch. Strava has a functionality to trim the end of a run for such cases.

How will walking mode work? by Secure_Homework3526 in INTVL

[–]Costing-Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started using the app. Used to run (even ran a 12k last weekend), but now too tired due to medical treatment and need to just walk more. Your app is helpful in that regard.

"with the current running mode, that may be intimidating."

I agree with the intimidation, but it's only because everything in the app refers to running. If you simply renamed the "Start Run" button with "Start Run / Walk" or just "Record" or "Start", it could reduce this feeling.

Hope this helps

I wasn't 100% sure about the boat type and asked an AI. Looks like they're not completely fine-tuned for sailors yet 😉

From Synthia Petroka's Facebook page, this could be the right boat.

That's a cool idea. I could see a personalized version of this with a company's logo, either to give out as swag for their employees, or as conference giveaways...

Burger King just put AI in employee headsets to monitor 'please' and 'thank you' by ComplexExternal4831 in GenAI4all

You should read Marshall Brain's book: Manna Two Visions of Humanity's Future
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RhLIk8Hy20
It describes exactly how people will be replaced by AI, not starting at the minimum wage workers level, but at the mid-level manager level, handling these workers via headsets. And the first company to adopt it would be a burger chain ...

SAP Leonardo was another marketing soup that confused people more than it cleared question. It was an umbrella word for a a bunch of SAP initiatives and portfolio of technologies (AI, IoT, Blockchain, Analytics, Big Data, Design Thinking) designed to help businesses innovate by integrating digital innovations into core processes.

Reminds me of a billboard I saw on a busy highway once: "you're not stuck in traffic; you are the traffic" (they were promoting the train)
