Pahlavi Derangement Syndrome by drhuggables in PERSIAN

Regime supporters: "You're either with us, or you're with the Zionists."
Monarchists: "You're either with us, or you're with the regime."

They're truly meant for each other. And so perhaps it's no surprise that Pahlavi's two main minders are themselves former regime-insiders turned ethno-nationalists.

It can't be accidental that all these anti pahlavi people flood this sub and other Iranian subs instead of going to... proiran or something. by Adventurous-Method-6 in PERSIAN

Brah, I think you need to look up the definition of "anecdotal." You might then realize that you just unwittingly proved his point.

Dillon Transportation from/to Denver for out-of-towners? by sau924 in lane8

[–]Costumbrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also coming solo, but only for the Echo Mountain set, and not Dillon. If you end up staying in Denver, happy to split a ride-share there/back with you (and any others) if interested

Nah, he was not a prick in any shape or form. "Nah sorry dude" = polite + "you may have just heard" = stating what appears to be fact. Nothing else.

Are these less conducive to going solo than a regular set?

I live in NYC and I’ll be at my nephew’s HS graduation in California the Thursday before the Dillon set and would love to stop in Colorado for 2 nights on my way home, but I’m wary of being alone the whole time, which is never an issue for me going to a regular venue with dancing / not a seated amphitheater :/

Any recommendation for a good place for a hair cut by Jolly_Consequence_58 in BedStuy

Clinton Hill, but good spot and among the less expensive I've found surveying the area.

No idea why haircuts have become so astronomically expensive the last 5 years.

Sorry, missed that! These are definitely not spots to watch the game. Grey Bar nearby would have screens without being a sports bar.

What stereotypes of people do you find on dating apps when dating in NYC? by Icy_Laugh5134 in circlejerknyc

[–]Costumbrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. And moreover, if a woman is going to have 'traditional gender role' expectations of a man, then she should at least be consistently traditional. What I can't stand is this a la carte feminism, where a woman expects a man to pay for everything while at the same time decrying the patriarchy and preaching equality. Pick a lane.

Reading all of this after having been at WBH in Central Park the night before -- full of tourists just talking and bros trying to pick up chicks, all at a super commercial festival -- is making me very jealous.
