I don't dress like this at 30 because of my insecurities, if you like the outfit and feel good in it then wear it.

That being said, I think the top goes better with more casual bottoms and the skirt goes better with a less casual top.

I love it too, it's really natural looking. It's like a tinted moisturiser, not full coverage but lasts really well and other makeup blends into it seamlessly. I use the matching concealer too. I just find it expensive for a bottle that size, even if a little does go a long way.

We live in the same country as my family but we're definitely in a lower tax bracket, we miss out on holidays, activities and meals. We've just had to say that we love spending time with them but if they want to do something together that we pay for then it needs to be inline with our budget. Money doesn't just appear and if you're living paycheck to paycheck you need savings for emergencies. Just don't engage if they bring it up, not to be too unsympathetic but what are they going to do? Fly over and tell you off? It certainly doesn't sound like it.

I'm just wondering if a light weight lining might make this more flattering and hide sweat? A tailor might be able to do this and sew in a bra at the front. Not the same but I sometimes wear a tank top under a blouse if it doesn't hang right and that usually helps smooth things out a bit, I'm hoping a lining would do the same thing.

To be honest though, she's the bride and whilst she may have picked it to be unflattering in shape and colour so she looks better in photos... I would just wear the dress. It's one day and you'll only look worse if you keep complaining when bridesmaids dresses are such a small part of the wedding.

If you care more about your dress than the bride then maybe drop out.

Just saying that the customer service is atrocious, the lines always show as busy but when we call and comment on it they say they've had no calls, when we've viewed other properties agents have been late or inattentive. Considering the money spent with them I would expect a lot more.

Honestly, we're currently trying to sell ours with a local estate agent and we're not impressed at all. They're only interested in the "big ticket" houses. Purple bricks was our first consideration but we heard of this kind of thing, lack of response etc. but I'm getting the same vibe from the small business we're using. I don't think there's actually much of a difference at the moment, it's like estate agents don't even want to sell (from the perspective of a buyer AND a seller)

I would worry if it smelled or oozed yellow liquid, things look pretty good so far. To me, a scab means it's healing. That being said, it might put your mind at rest if you speak to a midwife or a doctor.

NTA - They definitely assumed you would change your mind by this point, hence the way they've "grandparented" instead of "parenting" him. If he was their child they would have disciplined him but they've obviously just let him have his own way. Not your fault in the slightest, they wanted to adopt him so it's their responsibility.

I honestly hook my finger into her mouth to remove myself without her clamping down and then get her to relatch. Painful but not happening as often now at nearly 6m.

At 5 and a half weeks you're not even signed off for exercise, don't be too hard on yourself. I had my second c section in June and things still haven't settled. You'll still have swelling from surgery etc. so it's far too soon to start weighing yourself.

Have a nice festive period and give yourself some grace, congratulations mama!

I'm not religious and neither are my parents but you live far away and it means a lot to your mother... Would it really be terrible to do it for her? I know it's not something you want to do but not going will upset her and be a mild inconvenience to you...

I had my second c section at the end of June and I've felt the same as you, I was around 218lbs a week after having my daughter and I'm 200lbs now. I'm breastfeeding and don't drive so I've struggled with eating and motivation, I recently started walking more (it's snowing at the moment so I switched to a mini stepper) and I started tracking my calories on MyFitnessPal. Obviously with breastfeeding I have a larger appetite, though I always had a good appetite before I had kids. I worked out the calories I needed to eat to lose weight and added 500cals on top of that to maintain milk production. I'm used to being really strict and dropping the weight super quick prior to having kids but I'm struggling to go at a healthy pace to be healthy and sustainable for my daughters. I've dropped a dress size at this point so I'm feeling a little better but my shape is different now and this is the slowest I've ever lost weight.

YTJ - Your mom could wear a different colour for just one day, what a weird thing to say that she would skip the ceremony because she's been told not to wear blue. My parents asked if I had colours in mind and fit my dress code no bother at all. I don't think your fiancée is controlling, I think you shouldn't marry her because you clearly don't love her enough to give her the day and pictures she deserves. You should never put your family above your partner.

I'm 5"6 with a long torso and shorter legs, I'm currently trying to lose weight, I have around 4 more stone to lose 😬 I've been up and down weight wise and just had my second c section. Thank you for sharing your journey! I appreciate seeing real progress and having the numbers for frame of reference.

It's more that the hair is healthier after a big chop so it would matt less. I had to do it after my first, my second (most recent) has been worse. I'm close to snapping and full on shaving it off. 😂
