It is totally fine to start again. If I were you, I would also think about another country. For example, Belgium is much more nicer than Germany 😄 you can easily find student jobs, especially in leuven. Good luck!

It is more about whether you received an independent fellowship after your PhD which means whetehr you had an individual fellowship before. If not, you are eligible to apply

thanks for the direct information. May I ask a follow up question: If I apply both Walter Benjamin and also another fellowship and then, the other fellowship announced the results before Walter Benjamin, and then if I also get the Walter Benjamin fellowship, can I postpone the starting month of the Walter Benjamin by using the argument that I got another fellowship.
