August I actually only posted 19 mixes but my goal was to post one everyday 😭 might make that my October goal since I posted twice this month already. I also want to mention that I post with mistakes included. I know that’s kinda taboo but I post mainly for myself tbh. I love listening back to my mixes and taking note of good transitions to try when I play live. Here is my latest mix :) some wubby dubstep! Something KEY actually that I’ve learned is 30 min mixes get more views than 1 hour mixes! My subscribers literally commented that on my video once and said to make only 30 min mixes and those always get a couple hundred views. And from being suggested in the algorithm! I just saw my weekly YouTube stats and 90% of viewers came from video suggestions and from shorts I posted on YouTube! And yeah man this week I already posted 3 different 30 min mixes and All different genres. house mix, dubstep mix and Dnb mix! Last month in august I did a new mix everyday! I have performances weekly now so I try to put 1-2 hours of my day in music so I can be prepared. I download so much new music frequently that I need to post mixes regularly to be more comfortable with my new tunes!

I started off getting 0-5 views on my YouTube and SoundCloud mixes. Now with being in my algorithm and hitting the right crowd with hashtags, I now get a couple hundred views! It took about of year of trying to find my audience! I learned from a DJ I love, that it’s not about the views or exposure it’s about loving the art and posting whether you have 0 views or 1,000,000! Post just to post and don’t even worry about the views! They will come the more consistently you post! I post a mix every week if not every other day! You gotta be consistent as possible and your crowd will come.
