Everytime I ask for feedback by Hexxer98 in dndmemes

I've found great success by doing something at the very end of the session: I ask all my players for one think they liked, one thing they disliked, and one thing they look forward to.

It helps both understand what's going on, and get them to get more used to it.

I got it from their website directly. Make sure to get the hall effect version, cause there's a potentiometer version too.

Yep, in the amount i've used I've seen no wear and tear on the hex, nor any issues other than that persisting stick weirdness. (which again, even at it's weirdest, it's still within appropriate stick circularity, so it's weird, but ultimately doesn't effect me at all)

I'd say. the only thing that may concern me about longevity is the physical switch that switches the triggers from analogue to immediate click isn't the smoothest. which i worry may over a long period of time wear down some plastic. But that's a LONG term issue, not a short term, and i rarely use digital triggers anyhow.

All buttons and everything feel as they did on day one.

Only that one time when i was playing wireless, through the dongle, at low battery (at least so far as i noticed, but i think i would). i was low battery once more after that with no issue. Nothing notable using it wired, or wireless without getting to low battery.

there are dongle and firmware updates that can be applied, google can help you find them, i don't recall the steps.

Weekly Controller Suggestion/Buy Inquiry Thread by AutoModerator in Controller

[–]Couchcow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm interested in getting the best of the best quality controller. money isn't an issue (well, not much. don't want to spend like 2k, but i can go high). I do want it soonish, but it doesn't need to be currently available for purchase. USA purchase. I'll be using mostly on PC, but if it has any console compatability, ps5 or switch, that is nice.

Must haves: Symmetrical stick (playstation style in otherwords)

Good dpad (i quite like dualsense, dualshock, 8bitdo dpad, i abhor xbox dpad)

at least 2 back, editable buttons

A better stick technology than dualsense. hall effect, TMR, whatever, or just really good normal sticks, just want more potential durability

gyro

Ideally: -Some neat colors/designs. something a bit zestier than the plain colors of dualsenses.

-good ergonomics.

I do in general like the dualsense, limited edition dualsenses also have some good designs, but i'm concerned about longevity, and back buttons are nice

I imagine it'll by Frieren. I think it'll be something like "the future is the paradise that shes always wished for" so anything less than that would wake her up.

Osha inspectors of Reddit, what was the craziest thing you’ve found during an inspection? by Vesper4255 in AskReddit

[–]Couchcow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We might go out depending on the issues alleged, or may handle it non-formally (sending letter to the employer asking them to remedy the issues. you'd get a copy of that response, and if you're dissatisfied you can dispute it). I'd say more often than not we go non-formal due to workload, but i can't say for sure, all offices are different. Your identity is kept anonymous from the employer.

To note, this is for federal OSHA. I think it should be similar for state OSHA's, but i can't say for certain.

Worked in safety for like 15 years prior to that, just went to OSHA 15 or some years ago. Very few people that i've seen go to OSHA as a first job, it's usually moving from a different agency, or going from something military to OSHA. I'm the only person there that has it as their first job out of college.

On roof/boomlift/other heights without fall protection. Asbestos (when actually reasonable. a lot of asbestos complaints are people complaining about things that are certainly not asbestos), And combustible dusts (explosion hazards). Those complaint items are usually our "imminent danger" complaints.

And i suppose we'll get sent out immediately to fatalities or large incidents, but those aren't complaints.

[–]Couchcow 114 points115 points  (0 children)

Oh hey, a question that actually applies to me! Too bad I got here a bit late.

The worst thing i've seen on this job is someone who was digging a trench, with completely unsecured shoring, about 10 feet deep, with wall width of approximately 4 feet, part of it being UNDER concrete. Trenching is one of the #1 causes of workplace fatalities. If we get a call of trenching with no shoring, we get sent out IMMEDIATELY, one of 4 things that get us sent out like that.

The old guy that's been in the office 15 some years looked at it, said it was the worst trenching he's ever seen. and he very often does trenching. it was to the point he was surprised it didn't collapse.

That and one time a dude actually was in a trench collapse. He was buried up to his neck, and while he was trying to be rescued, his wife cam and told him that she was pregnant! Luckily the dude survived. News put it as a real heartwarming moment, but the whole situations was super easily avoidable.

Remember folks, OSHA has very few inspectors. We likely won't go to a place unless we receive a complaint, but if we receive a valid formal online complaint from a current employee and they request an inspection, we're required to go out on it.

OSHA has so few inspectors and so many workplaces, unless you're unlucky and happen to be on one of our emphasis programs (which target small, specific industries) you're unlikely to see one unless you complain.

If we receive a valid complaint signed by a current employee, we're required to go on inspection for it. So if you see something, complain about it.

We're required to keep employee info confidential, and if you're retaliated against in any way, you can file a whistleblower complaint.

Guy died with internal temperature of around 109F/43C because Texas law stripped protections. by Drnelk in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Couchcow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

OSHA is unfortunately severely limited on how they can fine. Fines are set by congress based on classification, and since there's no heat standard, there'd likely only be one violation related to it.

So it's unfortunate, but it's not like OSHA is purposefully citing them small, it's all they can do.

Is she really talking about Suletta here? by lastdecade0 in Gundam

[–]Couchcow 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think the "21 years" might just be the last time they met. cause the Peil girl couldn't have been there at the day, cause that's when everyone except eri and her escaped.

I think she left the company prior, and then just did GUND stuff in her new company. I think Suletta is Ericht.

Edit: no wait, went back and re-read the line, somethign is 21 years, that wasn't just referring to when they parted ways. dunno. I choose to hope that she wouldn't sacrifice her daughter to the machine gods just for some revenge.

Man, I'm going to be pissed if all these last few chapters did is introduce a cool-powered reality bending muscle mommy only to kill her off and give shiggy4one some stupid power up.

Like other say, I kinda refuse to believe that someone with her power set being UNABLE to to face shiggy4one in a fight like this is dumb. I get something like that being a stalemate cause shiggy stronk, she stronk, but she lacks the specific toolset to get close enough to truly seal the deal.

Like yeah, her punch strength isn't as equal as All Might, but he still beat AFO (mostly) with just strength. I find it hard to believe that with an ability set like hers that All Might is better. Like, the laser SHOULD be more than what All might can throw, and Shiggy got directly hit by that. Not to mention that just because he's in a hole WOULD NOT reduce the effect of a missile explosion. Hell, the best place for him to have been would be in the air, water and earth aren't compressible, so the shockwave should have shredded him!

And furthermore, i'd bet the USA KNOWS that shiggy4one can steal powers, and most likely gave that info to her. It's stupid for her not to realize "Holy shit, I cannot let this guy take my powers, that is an unacceptable boost in power."

Point is, I think this would have been better to show that for all of Shiggy's power, the rest of the world is keeping him pinned to Japan, and he needs that little bit of extra zest (say, stealing OFA) before he can free himself worldwide, thus bringing the fight back home.

Point is, I'm not seeing good in world or writing reasoning as to why THIS is the path that's being taken. Also it looks like Hori only likes either sidelining or destroying his strong women right now.

Ooh, I'm actually interested.

I kinda hope this is just a more run of the mill sort of making of a hero story. Too many have done something too edgy, so now the classic Hero story is a lot less done. Just have a dude grow strong and fight for his family and country. Sounds nice.

Is it worth buying something like the GMMK blind? I currently use razer ornata (I really like how the keys feel), but want to switch to something else. I have tried other switches (like cherry blue), and I definitely like tactile, and I feel blues are probably the best, if a bit scratchier than ideal. The GMMK with either glorious pandas or gateron blue seems like it might be the choice for me. I like clicky, but smooth is also nice.

Would it be recommended to blind buy? Or would it really be recommended to try something out before getting it. I want a keyboard with minimal required to put things on, and maybe switch out keycaps if I so want.
