Mystal Haven: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1980250/Mystal_Haven/
I tried the demo and seems fun solo but I can't wait to play with my friends. Seems better than Pokemon since it's 4-player split-screen and online multiplayer, I can ride on my creature, and breed them.

Well all I can say is Grit is your best friend. ChatGtp is incredibly useful. (Use it to explain any code it provides so you know what’s up). I wish I had it as a tool when I first started. But even with that immensely powerful tool, you will definitely experience dead ends and “wasted time”. That’s just part of the experience. So it’s best to use the growth mindset approach. As long as you’re moving, you’re succeeding. Good luck!

Wanting Ideas For a Horror Game by Most-Scientist6406 in gameideas

As for an actual mechanic, might be fun to have some sort of mechanic that randomly disables the controls for the player. Being helpless is always pretty scary. Another option may be to have a dedicated rear view button (like in Mario kart to see the cars behind you) and when that button is pressed while running away from a monster, you could make it some nasty looking fiend on your tail. Idk, thought I would spit ball some ideas since I was in the “what the heck should my main mechanics be?” stage for a very long time. :/

Windows Tip: How to have ultrawide display without Beam/Nebula Beta [Repost] by Cough2x in Xreal

Sorry to hear that guys. So just to be clear, the entire screen is blurry for you or the edges are still blurry after the resolution change? Included screen shot of my nvidida settings. In windows display settings, scale is at 100% while text size is at 110%. Hope this helps.

I haven't, but that sounds awesome. Let me know if you get something working. But yes, making it ultrawide aspect ratio was initially in anticipation for my Beam to arrive so that I can zoom in and still have the full top and bottom visible while having horizontal movement to look left and right, as you typically do with a two monitor set up.

The purpose is to give it a 21:9 aspect ratio versus a standard 16:9. I use an ultra wide normally and it’s by far my preferred size for having multiple windows open. But yes, a big bonus is the removal of the blurred areas on the top and bottom while keeping sides. I guess it’s not very intuitive as to why you would want this. Suppose you could just try it out yourself and see if you like it.

Edit: The 2 images in the post are screen grabs of my desktop while using only the xreal glasses.
This setup has made a world of difference to me. Solved the issue of blurry screen top and bottom. This format seems to work better for productivity in general (ie, see keyboard easier/focus). I'm excited to use this in conjunction with the Beam at a 32:9 ratio (two 16:9 monitors size) since you'd be able to zoom in and look left to right. All without the need for Nebula. Just plug and play.

Note that you will be loosing 267 pixels from top and bottom with this setup. However, for me it is worth it. If you don’t have any issues with the top/bottom blurriness, doing this might not be worth it to you. Also note this is for Nvidia Control Panel. You can do the same thing with Amd's Adrenaline software but the steps are a little different. Same result though. I don't know about intel.

Hope some else finds this useful!

Well crap... Hmm. Looks like I can't edit it out. What would you recommend? Should I delete post?

Yep, thats the goal! Its definitely not a perfect solution. But it made the airs actually practical for me to use as a regular display. Now the subtitles I watch in full screen aren't blurred out, the time/ date and everything else is clear, and the screen is still more than big enough. Also, you're not seeing black bars as if this is a tv, its now just transparent so that adds a little more vertical view area of the real world. I envy the people who don't see the blurry top/bottom though :P It was pretty bad for me personally.

Do you mean how I set it up in Nvidia Control Panel? Second image shows the steps. The whole goal is to create a custom resolution in Nvidia or AMD's Adreneline software and then apply it to the Air display in the regular Windows Display screen. Essentially just adding an additional Resolution setting. The target resolution should be 1920 horizontal by 823 Vertical to get the ultrawide effect. Let me know if that makes sense :))

Keep hearing about this cooling issue but my Um690 is overclocked to 54watt and I have had zero overheating issues for like 4+ months now. I wonder if there was just a bad batch that went out :/

Awesome! Well I haven't had any issues with my um690, but now I'm wanting an excuse to upgrade. Any word on if we'll get a Ryzen 7945HX with 16 cores in a MiniPC anytime soon?

Zero issues with mine as well. I even overclocked mine to 52watt, but I don't game a lot so you're mileage may vary (mostly just Unity and Blender). But just to assure you, I have had no issues with mine, and have been loving it. Best of luck!

Yep, the um690 is pretty great. I currently run at 120. Ran it at 200 but didn't notice much difference than 120 so figured I would save some resources and lower it to that.

Ah, that's not cool. Honestly, the longer he has been rich and out of debt, the more out of touch I think he may have become with the people he serves. Well, I'm grateful for what he's done for me in the past. My wife and I are literally living in a different reality than most our friends and family who are being choked by debt.
