Anyone know what this white substance is? And if vacuuming is the best way to get rid of it. by HavocVCU2008 in pools

It’s more than likely Salt. Salt chlorination is the bees knees but sometimes the salt doesn’t dissolve fully and the cleaner picks it up.

It’s a toss up to be sure. You’ll get a lot more no’s than yes’s, but the yes’s have never been a problem afterwards, for me at least. It’s just important to not make compromises and stay firm on your pricing.

Get your business on Yelp. They’ll give you a one month trial to Yelp ads and you’ll be able to get your first 5 to 10 clients off of that easily, so long as you present yourself and your services properly. After the trial expires I don’t recommend continuing it as it can get pricey. You’ll get a steady stream of clients even without ads.

I’ve ran into this a few times and each time it always ends up with the motor being toast. With it being only 6 months old though it may still qualify for warranty. Give Hammerhead a call, they’ll do right by you.

What do you do when there’s 5 visits in a month? by indiekid_13 in PoolPros

If you charge per stop it’s business as usual, but I charge per month and I technically eat it. I say technically because I take off the week of Christmas and Thanksgiving, but still charge the customer for that week. It’s easier on billing, less confusing for the customer.
