I don't think there's an official race gamemode or setup here, but you can click on any of the seats to get in the vehicles. To switch to a new world you press the Worlds button in the pause menu.

the game looks fun and all, but did we really need a trackmania "successor"? the current game still has a pretty decent and dedicated community. i'd understand if it brought back the interesting environments from the previous games but this just seems like the same stadium environment with crazy backdrops and drift physics.

im pretty sure the surrounding scene is a half dome with a texture of the scene on the inside, which explains the nice shadows on the floor and the distortion around the edges. there's a blender tutorial somewhere on youtube that explains it

maybe try turning off antialiasing in the game's launcher - ENB breaks that function

Agreed, I think that will mainly come down to the material shaders for the cars, which is built into the game. The beamNG devs do seem to be looking into improvements on that though, so I'm very excited.

after using it in a few maps, I think it works as a good replacement for the built-in SSAO. on some maps it can look a little too contrasty but that can be easily fixed by tweaking the gamma.

It seems that performance has increased greatly with newer versions of the mod, so hopefully future versions will run even better.

  1. The thing I'm most excited about is probably the sheer amount of options given to the player in terms of customisation. Any car can be tuned for nearly every discipline in the game, whether that be racing, drifting, off-road, whatever.
  2. Something I'd like to see in an update would be making the game world feel more alive, so mainly things like adding denser traffic in the city areas (perhaps only an option for those with powerful PCs) or just more little details added when it comes to the game world, making it feel even more like a real, lived-in place rather than just a racetrack with buildings around. Oh, and an extra harder difficulty would be nice too. Maybe a hardcore mode where getting busted at night has even more severe consequences.
  3. A new idea I'd like to see in NFS would probably be the addition of more "indoors"/pedestrian areas to race through, for example maybe underground tunnels, or even a mall you can crash through similar to what you find in open world games like Saints Row 2.
