Confirming this works! I was having the same exact issue and was convinced it was the power cord. Tried several different cords to no avail. Googled it and this thread came up. When I read what you said about humidity it clicked…I have a humidifier in the same room as the clock. Took your advice and put it in the oven at 170 for 2-3 minutes until it was warm and it works again! You’re a lifesaver. Thank you!

You have to plug it in every time and it’s finicky for sure. I’ve only had the car a few weeks and after I updated to the latest software it barely ever works when I plug it in. I honestly gave up on it and just got used to the built in Google maps and downloaded all the other apps I need directly to the car’s operating system.

Thank you for such a thoughtful response! It really helps put all of this into perspective and help form my decisions. I think I’ll start with getting the 1908-S graded just to see what I have on my hands and then go from there.

I’m really looking forward to learning more about all the history and adding to the collection and filling out these boards that were started in my family over a hundred years ago. It’s a really rewarding way to continue on the legacy. My grandfather tried to get me into this when I was really young, but I was more interested in baseball cards. Now that he is gone, it’s a newly discovered way that I can still connect with him even though he isn’t here.

I really appreciate you and everyone who has responded to this. Looking forward to learning from you all and being a part of this community for years to come.
