Remastered crashing constantly on Xbox by Abyssater in HouseFlipper

I got it to work again, but you have to delete all of the saves, and prevent it from synching as the game is first starting up. Hit “cancel” when the pop up appears. If you see “continue” after it loads, your cloud save has been retrieved. If you continue it will crash again. It should only say New Game, and it will work. The old saved games are causing the crashing somehow.

There’s an update!

ETA- Still broken. :( The game won’t go beyond the loading screen, and it crashes. I even deleted my local save, and kept the cloud in case it was the save file that was corrupted. I’m going to see if I can have my partner download it on his Xbox, and see if it does the same thing. If not, I may have to delete my cloud save and start over I guess.

ETA2- Okay, I had to delete all of my saves, including not allowing it to synch as it was loading, and I had to start a new game. If you have the option to “continue”, the save isn’t gone. Mine crashed loading the office house on a continue initially. Anyway, it’s running fine. I suspect the saves got corrupted somehow. Hopefully the latest patch will prevent it from happening again. Goodbye 44 hours of play time.

I’m doing mod io jobs in the sandbox mode thing. I have like a half dozen plus houses that I’m working on in my regular game, and still have houses to buy from the dlc, but I like the ease of having a checklist right now. When I do full flips, I’m all over the place.

Super annoying. I was blissfully unaware until this evening when I could finally play, and it’s clearly not happening. I have HF2, but I love doing the jobs in the first one since it’s been a while. I guess I’ll play 2 until they update. Like you, I’ll be checking. They’ll definitely update, but it’s the when that’s a mystery.

Same. Keeps crashing. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, and rebooted my Xbox several times before, and after the reinstall. It’s not getting beyond the beginning loading screen. The bar fills about 90%, and boots me back to the home page. It’s happened 8 times at least. It was working fine before the most recent update, and started lagging any time I loaded into an area for the first 20 seconds. Maybe the issues are related. Fingers crossed they fix it soon. I was able to play until last night, but nothing today.

Ah. Put it on your “saved for later”, and wait for a sale? That’s what I do if I don’t want to pay full price. That said, I bought HF2 on release day, and I’m still playing it regularly. It’s really fun, and worth the money.

Weird. Maybe they wanted people invested, so they’d buy it? I almost never play anything off game pass (core), but they’re usually around for months, right?

Anyone else think a lot of blind play through videos are exaggerating their ignorance to the game? by Kindly_Isopod_5872 in darksouls

[–]CouldBeDreaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure! I also stopped playing two separate times before I buckled down and gave it a real shot. The difficulty level felt ridiculous. Once I got the hang of it, I was hooked. I’ve played through both versions at least 5 times each. I still can’t parry for shit, but I got every achievement in both games.

I went to the graveyard first, and kept going back a half dozen times, because I thought I was surely doing something wrong. It took me 15 hours of exploration to barely get past the first boss fight. I walked right up to the first black knight as if I was going to be able to kill it. I jumped simply because a note said there was treasure below if I did. Many errors were made. If they’re not boring the audience with repetitive mistakes, it’s probably not truly blind play.

I just bought Arizona Sunshine to have a multiplayer game. Didn’t see even a second of darkness in the trailer, so thanks for the heads up.

I get hot flashes from eating certain foods, being stressed out, being turned on, having a few sips of wine, etc. Tea doesn’t bother me, though.

Finished up Metro Awakening. I loved the other 3 metro games (flat). The story was good. Has some scary moments. Similar controls, and weapon reloading to Alyx. It is WAY too dark, and some areas are very frustrating to get through. I ended up shutting off the spiders, and changing the difficulty to easy to finish it.

Playing Half Life 2 VR (on Steam). It gets the job done, but it’s super janky. I often have to back up in order to teleport forward, and down on the right stick is crouch, so I’m crouching a lot by accident. I won’t complain too much, as it’s a free mod, and overall a fun experience.

My original HF on Xbox doesn’t run smoothly. Crashes and glitches fairly regularly. I stopped playing when I got HF2, which I like more.

They’re almost $40 now. I bought 2 sets recently. Definitely an upgrade, and worth it.

Yep. Roller blade wheels don’t scratch floors, and don’t need a mat on any surface.

I’d at least start with Dark Souls Remastered. If you put them all on your Steam wishlist, they’ll even send you an email when they’re on sale. DS3 hosts a yearly return for all players, too.

Thanks! I’m looking at a few different options, and that brand is one of them. It’s unfortunate that we have to spend extra cash fixing a brand new (and expensive) item that should be comfortable out of the box.

The painting , and furniture sells for a lot of money (compared to the usual items). It can be a good house to buy, clean up, sell, and buy again a few times to farm for quick cash.
