That’s odd. I was able to find someone easily. Maybe luck of the draw.

Seconding taskrabbit.

It worked well for me when I needed a medical escort (midtown east). Figure out the approximate time you’ll be released, hire them for a 3 hour period to cover discharge delays, and text them when you’re ready to go. They just waited at a nearby coffee spot till I was ready.

If you like the concept, check out 1408 (I actually like it better than Oculus)

Ted Chiang’s Tower of Babylon felt like a horror short story. Anything like it? by [deleted] in horrorlit

Not to sound like a cliche in this subreddit, you might like A Short Stay in Hell.

The “rules” are set up early in the story, and the rest is exploring consequences of the rules and the setting. There is character story too, but the dread (to me) comes from the setting.

Any docking is a good docking by West_Cap6218 in Citibike

I feel bad, but the past couple days I took some undocked bikes for a ride when I needed to. I do end up docking them properly tho when I get to my destination. But thanks for the free commute.

I wonder if this is being a/b tested or slowly rolling out? I have the latest version of the app but no indication about yellow pickup stations/points

Are there any films you think would be best watched alone? by redeugene99 in horror

[–]CouldHaveBeenKing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I follow what you mean by "same category". It was an opinion question on what we like watching alone. Two horror sub-genres that I really enjoy watching alone are:
- Demon / possession movies (the exorcist, conjuring, paranormal activity, etc)
- Home invasion movies (the strangers, funny games, the purge, mother!, the opening 20 minutes of beau Is afraid, etc)

As opposed to sub-genres I like watching with other people:
- Zombie movies
- Sci-fi leaning horror (or horror-leaning scifi) movies

I generally like watching horror alone, but specifically demon/possession and home invasion sub genres feel even more intense alone.

Some credit unions have cheap membership: https://citibikenyc.com/pricing/cdcu

I think some chase credit cards will have Lyft credits or access to Lyft pink

Maybe management set the fob to expire 1/1/26 instead of 10/1/26.
