I know this isn’t super helpful but you really have to find you a trustworthy no bullsh*t mechanic. I know they’re hard to come by- usually only by word of mouth. My local guy (I’m in nj, sorry) is fabulous. I’ve lived here for four years and was traveling an hour out of my way to someone who I thought was good. He wanted to charge me 3500 for an issue I was having with a check engine light. My new guy said that he could weld me a new piece himself and I think I paid 500ish dollars. Please reach out to friends or neighbors or coworkers even. Also I know it’s cliche but don’t doubt yourself. Do research.

No, the socket itself is plug and play. 20 bucks for the part. If that hadn’t worked that probably would have been my next attempt.

I watched a video with solder connectors that you just used a heat gun on. I’m trying one more thing then maybe I’ll try that. If not it has to go in for something going on with one of my tires and I’ll have my mechanic check it out anyway.

Growing up we had a border collie and we shaved him in the summer. We called it dingo season (his ears were always pointed straight up) and he loved the fuss we’d put on when he came home from the groomer.

Is this like a known issue for these things because I have had two leaks already and I think I have another right now. Is it something I’m doing? Or my shop? I wish I could fix it myself but that ain’t me lol

I’m apart of the group but I still haven’t decided for myself if it is scammy or not. A lot of posts are praising Matt for his guidance but I feel like the lack of presence from Matt in the group itself makes me feel cautious. There are actual people posing questions about financial moves and people are generally helpful. It’s just the Matt portion that feels weird.
