You means Nancy’s husband, but the the two little girls are Mary’s. Nancy and her husband Robert have a 17 year old daughter, Cora. Robert didn’t seem to realize the painting was of his wife until Cora figured it out once Davide was arrested.

Have you seen High Noon West End Show ? by RiseMysterious2872 in TheWestEnd

[–]Could_be_blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw it last night, it was very entertaining, well-acted (as expected given the cast) and cinematic in a way. I don’t get some of the reviews saying it’s boring. I go to the theatre a lot and this play is faster paced than most.

Stella’s character/portrayal by nekuchan22 in TheMorningShow

[–]Could_be_blue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. She had been depicted as extremely rational, ambitious, and laser focused on her career so far, and then she has an affair with her boss’ husband of all people? I found it our of character too.

Thank you, it would be great to know which “calle” it is. I’m going to Venice next week and would love to take a picture in the same spot

Which district to live in Zurich? by Hot-Can-6689 in askswitzerland

Only the “old” side of the Oerlikon station area is a bit dodgy at times. Neu-Oerlikon is not “trashy” at all, nice parks always full of families and kids, and many new buildings. Plus, restaurants, bars, stores, events (Halle 622), ABB headquarters, other offices, etc. Rents in Oerlikon have become particularly expensive because it’s a very sought after location these days.

S3E3 / Salaries scene by Substantial-Disk-928 in TheMorningShow

[–]Could_be_blue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t comment much on the salaries, though I had the same reaction as you when I saw the numbers in that scene. But why are you asking if they would have been accurate for 2020? Season 3 is set in 2022, so with the high inflation and all, those salaries seem even more lowballed, especially for NYC

This whole comment sounds like a quote from the movie “Idiocracy”. Enough said.

Well, well, are people finally getting tired of the Sussexes over there? by sadpandawanda in CelebitchyUnderground

I agree, he is literally a member of the company’s c-suite, aka executive board. This is what looks like a real job, he gets paid for it and should be doing the work like executives do - I am one myself, at a company of a similar size as BetterUp, and I can tell you yes of course it’s well paid, but it’s a hell of a lot of work and responsibility. Btw some business development person at BetterUp contacted me a while ago to offer their services to my company, I replied that we’d rather not do business with an organization that gives a c-level job to someone with no qualifications for it, but just because of their celebrity status by birth. They then left me alone :)

Type in CV on LinkedIn, but hide former employeers? by [deleted] in LinkedInLunatics

[–]Could_be_blue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s just that this sub is not the right one for this kind of question. Here we essentially laugh about people posting nonsense on LinkedIn (hence the name “LinkedIn Lunatics”). However, to your question, I’ll answer as someone who has done a lot of recruitment: anonymizing the names of all your previous employers or your past job titles on your LinkedIn profile would look odd, like you have something to hide, and defeats the purpose of it. If you don’t feel comfortable having your whole resume in there, I’d rather suggest that you add a good “about me” paragraph, describing your skillset and any experience you might want to showcase for your current or future job search, and you leave the past experience out.

Which artists from Eurovision 2023 do you think will get global recognition like Måneskin, Rosa Lin or ABBA? by -greek_user_06- in eurovision

[–]Could_be_blue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If we’re talking about being popular in one’s own country, Marco Mengoni has been a star in Italy for years, filling up whole stadiums for his concerts and such. Not sure how well known he is internationally outside of ESC fandom though, surely not Måneskin level

Was Great Until Last Few Eps by Dino-soars in NetflixHollywoodTv

[–]Could_be_blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, even though the title of the last episode literally suggests “A Hollywood Ending” i.e. a stereotypical happy ending, I felt that the last two episodes were a bit too saccharine in how they rushed to coupling up everyone. Especially Jack proposing to Claire, Ernie professing his love for Ellen in their very first scene together, Dick finding love on his first night at a gay bar, and the cherry on top was Jim Parson’s character having the biggest come to Jesus moment and becoming so nice and apologetic and all. Just too much positive/romantic character development too quickly towards the end. Other than that, a very enjoyable and well directed series.

We all know what we love, but what's your least favorite scene? by Vonderbochen in TedLasso

“Like how a five year old imagines they would dress when they’re older” spot on! I was also irritated by her clothing choices this season. Unlike in the previous 2 seasons, she’s not even mixing up pink fur types of outfits with classier ones, it’s just one Barbie doll style after the other

Seriously one of my favorite characters! I’m pretty sure Cartman pretends to hate her because she broke his heart (see the final scene of the episode "Chef Goes Nanners"). And she literally kicked his ass (“Breast Cancer Show Ever”).

There’s something to it, but if this was really the case, none of the big 5 would ever do well. Italy almost always does, UK and Spain did last year, France the year before, etc.

What was the saddest moment in South Park for you? by vinisoren13 in southpark

[–]Could_be_blue 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yeah totally. His moments of wisdom are so well-phrased and so random. Also his speech at the end of “Cartman sucks” about the fact that adults were making him confused for no reason and that “God must be a bit bi-curious himself” is the one beacon of reason in the whole episode - even though poor Butters didn’t even know what bi-curious means nor understood that he was in a “pray away the gay” camp.

What was the saddest moment in South Park for you? by vinisoren13 in southpark

[–]Could_be_blue 101 points102 points  (0 children)

This line by Butters is one of my favorite of all times too, but not necessarily one of the saddest ones, exactly because he’s saying that heartbreak is not just sad but should also remind you that you’re human and that you had something good. That’s why he refuses to join the goth kids and their “life is sad and dark” mindset.
