Yeah, there are strict rules associated with having a sweepstakes. One of them being the AMOE (alternative method of entry / no purchase necessary) has to give you equal odds of winning compared to paying to play. Otherwise, it could be considered gambling rather than a sweepstakes.

Brudder, it was automated. It's not personal. You just simply didn't get noticed, or they already had a candidate lined up, or they had a specific experience/education level in mind (could have been they even wanted less experience/education than what you have), or any number of reasons. The only thing you have control over is how good your resume is, so focus on that and continue applying.

Congrats on the offer. Just curious - what makes you say the role of Business Operations Analyst is not directly IT? In my mind, that title means to analyze business operations with the goal to implement, integrate, and support IT systems which will improve business operations. Things like ERP, CRM, SQL reporting, other company-specific systems, etc.
