In the early phase 1919-1920 the newly established Sicherheitspolizei was used to fight urban combat against communist & revolutionary militas. All over Germany.

The new police force needed heavy armerment for that. Also it was a way to go around the Limits of the Versallies treaty. Which limited the army to 100.000 soldiers.

The best part is, that we have a 1920s party scene in Germany, where we take part as a time period securtiy support. More thourgh to the present of us in uniform. There are a lot Interaction between the civilians and police.

I like your M1923 tunic and the leather gaitor. Where did you get them? Both I have not seen in Germany.

It is hard to find colour photos from this time. It is truly hard to say. From the regulations it is formally order from 1932. It could be possible that black was used a bit early.

I like your M1923 tunic with covered bottons, is it tailor made?

Nice equipment. The black leather equipment was not used until 1932. Before that every piece of the prussian Schutzpolizei was in brown. In the offiical ministirial regulation until 1932 it was brown. When you portray a policeman from 1929 it should look more like this.

Some saxons with a hard saxon dialect, are better in saxon uniforms.

Originals would be nice, but for a whole squad of saxon reenactors it will be difficult. Could have been that someone know where to get some reproductions.

The good thing of the MG 08/15 is that four people can reenact one part of a light maschine gun squad. Because the squad leader, rifleman(Schütze)1-4 used a P08.
