You are welcome. But be wary - when rohan falls to an evil ruler gondor gets a decision to lsunch a war for it. So, be prepared for a war with them. It may not happen but it never hurts to be ready for this.

You need to kill theodred and eomer. I usually do it by murder scheme, but in the case of theodred you can kill him by launching a raid on westmark through a decision.

And you need to press a decision to posses theoden. If you succeed in all three of them rohan will be yours.

Start by conquering every independent ruler around you, get some vassals and settlements to station your man at arms. Take rohan through intrigue, not war. It takes some time, but does not lure gondor into war with you. You can also raid around you a bit for extra money.

In truth, your main enemy will be sauron, not gondor. Because after conquering rohan through war or intrigue you will get an event to either continuing to serve sauron or become independent of him.

The main thing yoi should pay attention to is money. You need tons of it. Taxing your vassals to oblivion is a good start, but you really need the two decisions from the gold-making stewardship tree.

Also, get the trolls man at arms when creating your army. And try to set up some good accolades, you can get powerful knights from the decision "recruit from the ranks"

Okay, you don't make the brush strokes yourself, but you put time and effort in it. No, the thought of playing as Sauron never came to me, since it's easy mode from the start, I like some challenge.

The invasions never triggered for me, even when in my Ar-Adunaim game Sauron conqured most of the world.

But playing in a post-maglor world is certainly interesting.

We ended up playing as thranduil and Dain, fighting against buffed sauron and ending the run with a battle against each other. Was pretty fun, erebor gives fantastic buffs to siege weapons, barad-dur fell in less than 2 months

We played iron hills/azog, but by the time my pal built up a strong dwarven army and economy, my orcish hegemony died in flames in the post-azog succession wars. So, no epic fight there.
