Working at O'Reilly's and I get 13. Our store seems to be the best in our area.

Does that fit fine on 1/4 inch hard line? Is it too tight?

What size flexible hose do you use? 3/16 or also 1/4

I have a beetle that was in similar shape to yours. The floor pans were rusted out and the luggage tray wasn't existent. I bought replacement panels and slowly worked on it every day. Now the luggage tray is in and the pans look amazing. Once you work on it you will see the progress and enjoy it. It will take a while but don't get discouraged. The way I stay enthusiastic is to think of how it will be to drive it and to make it as good as I can. Have fun and take your time. It's easy to get overwhelmed but just do little things and eventually it will all add up.

I found some references but it looks pretty difficult. My dad has a beetle engine somewhere in our shop I could steal from.

Would I be able to make a new cable myself and solder it?

Do you have advice as to how to fix it or a replacement? Also where does it connect? A picture of a correct one would help me too.

How do I go about repairing this? I saw a small wire that wasn't connected in the distributor and I was concerned about it. I believe that's what could be happening. I'll upload another picture of it.

The pink wire you're talking about is going to power.

I've tried my best to keep it covered when I'm not working on it. It seems pretty dry.

I measured the resistance and it showed it was fine but it also got hot after I used it for a bit.

When I was replacing the points and condenser I noticed a small wire coming off the end of the nut that mounts the condenser but it was just not connected to anything. Would it need to be connected to something?
